Dr. Eye has been amazing! I actually transferred over from another office, because the quality of my previous OB was so poor. After 18 weeks of seeing the other OB, and either leaving the office completely frustrated or in tears, Show moremy husband and I decided to try Premier. We have not been disappointed! :-) Previously, we felt so tossed aside and just rushed in and out of the other office, without the answers we needed. We were trying to find someone who genuinely cared and was willing to take the extra time to answer our questions thoroughly. Dr. Eye has gone above and beyond! Also, an added bonus, Dr. Eye has been more than willing to work with us. I've experience some rather unique and high risk issues with my pregnancy. Most doctors I saw were so baffled and freaked out, that it left me feeling very discouraged and scared. I have not felt that way while at Premier. Dr. Eye always takes her time to research, remains patient and calm in our visitations, and always provides alterative solutions. With her I feel hopeful and confident that everything is going to be ok. I know that is something does arise that is more critical, she will work with me and do what is best for me and my little one. I am VERY satisfied. :-)
Overall, everyone was friendly and welcoming. My only complaint with today’s appointment was with wait time and communication. After being seen by Dr. Eye, no one communicated to me that I could leave. Normally an RN comes in to pShow moreick up the Pap smear sample and finalizes the documentation with me in the room and then directs me towards the exit. I sat in that room for 30 minutes and no one came in. I finally lost patience because my time is equally as important. When I opened the door, I searched for an employee and asked her how much longer it would be. She told me I could have left already. I informed her that no one came in the room to tell me that and that my sample was still open on the counter. I then asked her how to exit appropriately. Frankly, if someone had walked in after Dr. Eye left, I would have been out 30 minutes earlier and that patient room would have been available earlier for the next appointment.
Rita Ellen Eye, MD is a board-certified OB/GYN physician who joined Premier OB-Gyn in 2014 and sees patients at her Maitland, Oviedo, and Lake Mary, FL offices. She is a physician/owner of Premier OB-Gyn and serves as Chair for the Department of OB-Gyn for AdventHealth Winter Park. Dr. Eye was named as one of Orlando's Top Doctors by Orlando Magazine for 2022 and 2023.
Dr. Eye is originally from Potosi, Missouri, a small town near St. Louis (and she remains a loyal fan of the St. Louis Cardinals!). She graduated from her high school as Valedictorian. She attended Missouri University of Science and Technology, earning her Biological Sciences degree while graduating with Magna Cum Laude honors. She received her doctoral degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2006. Dr. Eye went on to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and was honored by being elected Chief Resident at the University of Oklahoma in Tulsa. She began her successful private practice in Texas where she lived and worked for four years before moving to Florida. She is married to husband Chet and a proud mom to a sweet daughter named Faith.
Dr. Eye chose to pursue Obstetrics and Gynecology because she was drawn to the idea of being able to help women of all ages - from adolescents to the elderly - through the various stages of life. It is one of her greatest professional joys to share in the excitement of a new baby arriving into the world. She feels honored to be in the room with her patients on that blessed day. She is an accomplished and skilled surgeon who especially excels in minimally-invasive surgery/laparoscopy, robotic surgery, hysterectomy, and many in-office gynecologic procedures.

I feel heard. It’s so difficult to get doctors to listen to you, but Dr Eye took all my concerns seriously. Brought my mom to my preop appt and she is considering switching to Dr Eye.
I felt very comfortable . Everyone was friendly. Dr. Eye explained everything I was concerned about. I am so glad that I have a new Doctor to rely on.

I was very impressed with Dr Eye. She is very knowledgeable and reviewed my tests before she saw me. Her nurse Zoe is also wonderful. She drew blood for a blood test without hurting me and she got it on the first stick. I could tell that all of the people in this office really care about the patients. I have recommended her to my neighbor.

Going to see Dr. Eye not like going to a doctor 's office. It's more like visiting a friend. She has a lovely way about her. Dr. Eye puts you at ease, listens attentively, and is an excellent communicator. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well.
