He was so thorough and I loved his bed side manner how I felt and what I was experiencing was his number one concern I have received appointments for other testing all with in a week and appointments aren’t being pushed out for weShow moreeks or months I would like to just say thank you for hearing me and understanding what are the possible steps that we made need to take take he made me comfortable with getting Botox for the headaches I saw a different neurologist and didn’t feel comfortable and I declined but I appreciate this doctor so far
10/3/25 was my very first appointment at this Practice and the moment I stepped to the Patient Service Representative, the first thing I noticed was a Provider telling all the Ladies how wonderful they were to his Patient. Right Show moreafter that, (while waiting for my turn), three Patients came to the desk and gave the same remarks. I must say, my experience was very professional in the front and the back. Everyone I encountered were excellent especially Dr. NGO and Dr.Balsiger. I felt understood and like they are genuinely concerned about my Health issues.
Robert W. Balsiger, DO, is a local board-certified neurologist at Las Vegas Neurology Center. He has resided in Las Vegas, Nevada, since 2006. He has strong ties to the Midwest growing up in Minnesota and Ohio.
Dr. Balsiger attended The Ohio State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise physiology. He was active in the community in Columbus, Ohio, and on campus at The Ohio State University. While a full time student, he obtained a personal training certificate and was involved in geriatric exercise prescription. Dr. Balsiger was on the Dean’s List each year he attended The Ohio State University.
Following his undergraduate degree, Dr. Balsiger relocated to Henderson, Nevada. There he attended Touro University Nevada and obtained his medical degree. He was also on the Dean’s List at Touro University Nevada. He immediately recognized a need for physicians in the community. Thus, he continued his training in Las Vegas, Nevada, completing a 4 year neurology residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center.
Upon completion of residency, Dr. Balsiger continues to serve the community here in Las Vegas. He is the stroke director and director of neurology at Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center. He also has a strong passion for academic medicine. He is part of the core faculty for the neurology residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center, a member of the Graduate Medical Education Committee at Valley Hospital Medical Center, and adjunct faculty for Touro University Nevada. He enjoys spending time teaching residents and medical students in an inpatient and outpatient setting. Dr. Balsiger also provides weekly neurology board examination review and neurology lectures for the neurology residents.
Aside from practicing neurology, Dr. Balsiger enjoys weight training, watching movies and traveling.
Dr. Balsiger was awarded the Top Doctor Award for Top Neurologist 2016-2017 & Vegas Top Doctors 2020.

He left early and I sat with a diffrent person
Very organized. Short wait period. The technician was very patient and kind. She explained everything that was going to take place. She kept the conversation light and talked me thru the process. She introduced the doctor and he was very personable. Both were ready to answer any questions. It was not a bad experience at all.
Dr spent the necessary time to gather the information that will help in developing a care program for me. I was pleased with the whole team
