Very cut to the chase, didn't judge me, listened to me, only thing was the nurse practitioner told me there was an as needed prescription for migraine and tension headaches and samples but I got not that. But I did however appreciShow moreate being taken seriously, a lot of experience with Dr's I've had and heard of are just insane and deadly, so I can't really be mad at these guys. It just sucks I have no way to cure these head symptoms so I'm praying they subside, I don't like the idea of being tired on 60mg qulipta as ideal as the point of this medicine sounds, that equally if not more so sounds just as not ideal, i kind of wish i got a lower dose to start with if this is about to be a regular thing. I might just have to deal with that for a while, which makes me wanna cry, I guess thats separate from a review, sort of, definitely appreciate the thorough consultation today, and proper tests ordered for symptoms. Praying to god that it's nothing too awful...gotta have patience and trust God's timing on this

Robert W. Balsiger, DO, is a local board-certified neurologist at Las Vegas Neurology Center. He has resided in Las Vegas, Nevada, since 2006. He has strong ties to the Midwest growing up in Minnesota and Ohio.
Dr. Balsiger attended The Ohio State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise physiology. He was active in the community in Columbus, Ohio, and on campus at The Ohio State University. While a full time student, he obtained a personal training certificate and was involved in geriatric exercise prescription. Dr. Balsiger was on the Dean’s List each year he attended The Ohio State University.
Following his undergraduate degree, Dr. Balsiger relocated to Henderson, Nevada. There he attended Touro University Nevada and obtained his medical degree. He was also on the Dean’s List at Touro University Nevada. He immediately recognized a need for physicians in the community. Thus, he continued his training in Las Vegas, Nevada, completing a 4 year neurology residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center.
Upon completion of residency, Dr. Balsiger continues to serve the community here in Las Vegas. He is the stroke director and director of neurology at Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center. He also has a strong passion for academic medicine. He is part of the core faculty for the neurology residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center, a member of the Graduate Medical Education Committee at Valley Hospital Medical Center, and adjunct faculty for Touro University Nevada. He enjoys spending time teaching residents and medical students in an inpatient and outpatient setting. Dr. Balsiger also provides weekly neurology board examination review and neurology lectures for the neurology residents.
Aside from practicing neurology, Dr. Balsiger enjoys weight training, watching movies and traveling.
Dr. Balsiger was awarded the Top Doctor Award for Top Neurologist 2016-2017 & Vegas Top Doctors 2020.

Hello, We had a neurology consultation appointments. Our other doctor sent the wrong forms. We explained we have surgery appointments already scheduled and we had to cancel. Dr Balsiger made everything happen that day so we can proceed with my daughters surgery. Thank you so much.

I came to see a new doctor and doctor Balsiger The first doctor was amazing. He listened to everything I had to say didn’t cut me off. Didn’t shorten my answers. Listen to everything I had to say, and then Dr. Balsiger was supposed to come in next, but I guess they were shortstaffed or super busy because he just briefly looked at the new doctor suggestion and okayed it and I guess went onto the next room so I did not see him at all after waiting almost 15 minutes for the first appointment and then about 20 to 30 I think for him to come in for them to just say you are good to go so we were left kinda puzzled as to why he did not come in as the second doctor… other than that I was amazed by the first doctor and I’m so sorry I forgot how to say his name or spell it otherwise I would have put him in this review also
