I have to comment about Bernard who is Dr Belsigers Nurse Practitioner. Bernard has been wonderful in explaining in detail any and all of our questions. He is to be commended for his patience and understanding and listening abShow moreility of the patients needs. Great person! Dr. Belsiger has been our Neurologist for at least a year, he is kind, gentle and most knowledgeable. My husband is very comfortable with his office visits and understands the information that’s given to him by both Bernard and Dr. Belsiger. The office wait time has always been literally just minutes.
DR Balsiger walked in my office with a smile and kindness. I appreciate him so much. He had heard of my stroke, aphasia and life. I had asked for help and there he was. Robert W. Balsiger, DO, is a local board-certified neurologist at Las Vegas Neurology Center. He has resided in Las Vegas, Nevada, since 2006. He has strong ties to the Midwest growing up in Minnesota and Ohio.
Dr. Balsiger attended The Ohio State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise physiology. He was active in the community in Columbus, Ohio, and on campus at The Ohio State University. While a full time student, he obtained a personal training certificate and was involved in geriatric exercise prescription. Dr. Balsiger was on the Dean’s List each year he attended The Ohio State University.
Following his undergraduate degree, Dr. Balsiger relocated to Henderson, Nevada. There he attended Touro University Nevada and obtained his medical degree. He was also on the Dean’s List at Touro University Nevada. He immediately recognized a need for physicians in the community. Thus, he continued his training in Las Vegas, Nevada, completing a 4 year neurology residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center.
Upon completion of residency, Dr. Balsiger continues to serve the community here in Las Vegas. He is the stroke director and director of neurology at Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center. He also has a strong passion for academic medicine. He is part of the core faculty for the neurology residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center, a member of the Graduate Medical Education Committee at Valley Hospital Medical Center, and adjunct faculty for Touro University Nevada. He enjoys spending time teaching residents and medical students in an inpatient and outpatient setting. Dr. Balsiger also provides weekly neurology board examination review and neurology lectures for the neurology residents.
Aside from practicing neurology, Dr. Balsiger enjoys weight training, watching movies and traveling.
Dr. Balsiger was awarded the Top Doctor Award for Top Neurologist 2016-2017 & Vegas Top Doctors 2020.

I have just been referred to Dr. Balsiger but I appreciate his professionalism and his attention to detail. I am confident I am in the right hands. Office staff is polite, thought I would be waiting but got in within 5 minutes of my appointment time.
This office is well organized, the Dr's are very informative about the information they give to their patients. They allow you to ask questions and they will give you an answer, if not they'll help find the answer. I recommend this office to anyone.
Good Doctors an stuff really nice
I thought that Kristen and Dr. Balsiger were quite through. I believe that Dr. Balsiger thought that Kristen had explained my treatment plan to me before him coming in to chat with me. Kristen had not , but he needs at least for me to include me in the conversation as I am very involved with any and all treatment. I will be returning for my follow up and future testing. Kristen was just having a learning experience with dealing with me.

The waiting wasn’t long at all. Drove hour and half and was so much in pain. For 2 years I have been going through this pain. I have seen neurologist, pain management and specialists but at the end of the day they didn’t care. Sometimes I even got suicidal because of my depression. Finally the doctors I seen today gave me hope again, it’s like they knew what I’m going through every single day of my life. Thank you!
