I have to comment about Bernard who is Dr Belsigers Nurse Practitioner. Bernard has been wonderful in explaining in detail any and all of our questions. He is to be commended for his patience and understanding and listening abShow moreility of the patients needs. Great person! Dr. Belsiger has been our Neurologist for at least a year, he is kind, gentle and most knowledgeable. My husband is very comfortable with his office visits and understands the information that’s given to him by both Bernard and Dr. Belsiger. The office wait time has always been literally just minutes.
I enjoy the conversation with the doctor what he had to experience with me in my health and what he suggested. I agree with him because I didn’t have knowledge about what was going on with me. He explained everything to me that I Show moredid not understand. I’m looking forward to seeing him again and for him to continue to experience me with what’s going on with my condition very good person and I love to see him again.
Robert W. Balsiger, DO, is a local board-certified neurologist at Las Vegas Neurology Center. He has resided in Las Vegas, Nevada, since 2006. He has strong ties to the Midwest growing up in Minnesota and Ohio.
Dr. Balsiger attended The Ohio State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise physiology. He was active in the community in Columbus, Ohio, and on campus at The Ohio State University. While a full time student, he obtained a personal training certificate and was involved in geriatric exercise prescription. Dr. Balsiger was on the Dean’s List each year he attended The Ohio State University.
Following his undergraduate degree, Dr. Balsiger relocated to Henderson, Nevada. There he attended Touro University Nevada and obtained his medical degree. He was also on the Dean’s List at Touro University Nevada. He immediately recognized a need for physicians in the community. Thus, he continued his training in Las Vegas, Nevada, completing a 4 year neurology residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center.
Upon completion of residency, Dr. Balsiger continues to serve the community here in Las Vegas. He is the stroke director and director of neurology at Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center. He also has a strong passion for academic medicine. He is part of the core faculty for the neurology residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center, a member of the Graduate Medical Education Committee at Valley Hospital Medical Center, and adjunct faculty for Touro University Nevada. He enjoys spending time teaching residents and medical students in an inpatient and outpatient setting. Dr. Balsiger also provides weekly neurology board examination review and neurology lectures for the neurology residents.
Aside from practicing neurology, Dr. Balsiger enjoys weight training, watching movies and traveling.
Dr. Balsiger was awarded the Top Doctor Award for Top Neurologist 2016-2017 & Vegas Top Doctors 2020.

I’m completely impressed with Dr Balsiger. His competence is reassuring
He and the other physician were very nice, knowledge, and took time to answer all questions.
The problem was not with the doctor but the amount of time we had to wait to be seen. Over 2 hours for a 25 minute exam is not okay. All the staff were great.
My experience was good. Except I did sit for about one hour before I was seen. The staff and the doctor was friendly.
Very processional, great in all ways but at my age shit happens….getting older is a privilege ..very happy with the help and the Renaults will show my condition….acrobatics will shorten your life span ….just have fun…

Dr balsiger, spent all of 5 minutes in the room with me and then left without me even being able to get his name. I feel as a patient, I have the right to have a little more time spent with the doctor no matter how busy they are.

Dr Balsiger is a great neurologist and has been assisting in my recovery after two strokes with Botox injections and his APRN, Bernard is great as well. Rosario, his assistant always helps me solve any issues I have and puts me in touch with the person I need. Even when I had an issue with referrals or appointments, the office manager sat down with me and listened and resolved everything which is why I chose 4 instead of 5.
I never saw doctor, but an intern was concerned enough about what was going on with my heart that he sent me directly to the ER at the hospital. Exactly what I needed.

The doctor and the whole entire staff was stellar, I was totally astounded and amazed at the level of caring and the examinations to come, and the treatment. I would recommend this doctor in this whole entire team to anyone in the United States even though it's the Las Vegas Neurology Center, thank you and bravo for a job well done.

I have just been referred to Dr. Balsiger but I appreciate his professionalism and his attention to detail. I am confident I am in the right hands. Office staff is polite, thought I would be waiting but got in within 5 minutes of my appointment time.
This office is well organized, the Dr's are very informative about the information they give to their patients. They allow you to ask questions and they will give you an answer, if not they'll help find the answer. I recommend this office to anyone.
