I have to comment about Bernard who is Dr Belsigers Nurse Practitioner. Bernard has been wonderful in explaining in detail any and all of our questions. He is to be commended for his patience and understanding and listening abShow moreility of the patients needs. Great person! Dr. Belsiger has been our Neurologist for at least a year, he is kind, gentle and most knowledgeable. My husband is very comfortable with his office visits and understands the information that’s given to him by both Bernard and Dr. Belsiger. The office wait time has always been literally just minutes.
DR Balsiger walked in my office with a smile and kindness. I appreciate him so much. He had heard of my stroke, aphasia and life. I had asked for help and there he was. Robert W. Balsiger, DO, is a local board-certified neurologist at Las Vegas Neurology Center. He has resided in Las Vegas, Nevada, since 2006. He has strong ties to the Midwest growing up in Minnesota and Ohio.
Dr. Balsiger attended The Ohio State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise physiology. He was active in the community in Columbus, Ohio, and on campus at The Ohio State University. While a full time student, he obtained a personal training certificate and was involved in geriatric exercise prescription. Dr. Balsiger was on the Dean’s List each year he attended The Ohio State University.
Following his undergraduate degree, Dr. Balsiger relocated to Henderson, Nevada. There he attended Touro University Nevada and obtained his medical degree. He was also on the Dean’s List at Touro University Nevada. He immediately recognized a need for physicians in the community. Thus, he continued his training in Las Vegas, Nevada, completing a 4 year neurology residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center.
Upon completion of residency, Dr. Balsiger continues to serve the community here in Las Vegas. He is the stroke director and director of neurology at Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center. He also has a strong passion for academic medicine. He is part of the core faculty for the neurology residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center, a member of the Graduate Medical Education Committee at Valley Hospital Medical Center, and adjunct faculty for Touro University Nevada. He enjoys spending time teaching residents and medical students in an inpatient and outpatient setting. Dr. Balsiger also provides weekly neurology board examination review and neurology lectures for the neurology residents.
Aside from practicing neurology, Dr. Balsiger enjoys weight training, watching movies and traveling.
Dr. Balsiger was awarded the Top Doctor Award for Top Neurologist 2016-2017 & Vegas Top Doctors 2020.

I had a wonderful experience at LV Neurology with Dr.Balsiger and the tech. I was worried for nothing as the two tests were easy peasy! Never felt the needles either! I’m sure I’ll soon get results to put me on the road to being pain free! Thank you!

I am overall very pleased with my care and for the most part have had a pleasant experience each visit. The only reason I take a star away is how busy this office is and the parking is ridiculous. Location, location, location.
Dr Balsiger Could not have been more caring. He was very personable and explained everything to me very well. I would have no problem coming to see him again and I have absolutely no problem recommending him and their practice to anyone who needs it.
