My son was injured and I was a wreck. I had to have my husband take him to the exam while I listened over the phone. Dr. Bloom provided compassionate care and a thorough diagnosis. He patiently answered all of our questions andShow more had a good bedside manner with my son. Sensing the stress in my voice, he asked me what was wrong. I expressed my feelings about my son being injured - anxiety, guilt, frustration, fear. This toddler is always getting into something no matter how diligent I am! How do I keep my baby boy safe?!? He welcomed me to parenthood and assured me that active toddlers sometimes get hurt but they’ll always be there to help us care for him if he does. I just need to make up my mind that accidents will happen sometimes. It was such a kindness. I am so grateful for the team’s flexibility with scheduling a same day visit and immediately sending his Rx to the pharmacy.
I was very surprised that daughter had COVID. She was presenting with what I assumed was just some kind of a stomach bug so COVID was the furthest thing from my mind since my daughter didn't have any respiratory issues. but someShow morehow Dr. Blum could tell it was COVID before the test came back just by looking at her. And it was, turns out we both had it as I started getting sick the next day. I stopped paying close attention to COVID coverage because it just became too much for me mentally and stresses me out. So I didn't know this new variant is all stomach issues. I'm very thankful that Dr. Blum is so skilled and knew what it was so quickly. Thank you.

Dr. Blum received his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, Iowa. Afterward, he completed his pediatric residency at William Beaumont Hospital. Dr. Blum makes a continuous effort to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in pediatric medicine and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

My kids originally were seen by Dr. Blondy until he retired sadly. Over the years, they've been seen by many of the available practitioners at each location. Dr. Supol has been their primary doctor. She is attentive, she educates both parent and child and has a confident, calming presence to ease your worries. Very happy to have found her.

Amazing staff, great office, very welcoming. My favorite thing about Dr.Blum is that he takes his time with his patients and answers every question you have without feeling rushed whatsoever. He is very thorough in checking everything and is super kind & personable! The rest of the staff are just as great, overall a fabulous team.

I love Dr. Robert Blum’s gentle nature. He takes his time and listens to my concerns. He doesn’t seem rushed and is never annoyed if my toddler doesn’t cooperate fully. Booking appointments is very easy and I’m usually able to get in quickly. Waiting in the office is never long. I would highly recommend Southfield peds!

Overall good experience. My son liked the doctor. The only thing that struck me was the doctor asked him about his grades, making conversation. He kept asking him what he got in this class or that class until my son had a class he got an A in. And then he said he was waiting for him to say an A. It didn't seem to bother my son, he is proud of his grades. But I wonder how someone who isn't as proud of their grades would feel answering that question. Just something to think about. We've been very happy overall at the practice for years.

Great customer service
I scheduled a same day appointment for 2:00PM for a rash that was multiplying on my 10 month son. I was brought to the exam room at 2:00PM & was not seen until 3:00pm. I sat in the exam room with both my kids (3 y/o & 10 months) for a HOUR. For a same day emergent appointment. Waiting a hour in the exam room in a pediatric office is absolutely ridiculous.
