I couldn’t have had a better outcome from the beginning when we walked into the office and met with Dr. Robinson until we went through the whole surgical experience and had the outcome we only dreamed of gaining. We waited 20 yearShow mores in fear of not being able to have a good outcome, but Dr Robinson made it happen by the grace of God We would highly recommend me and his staff to anyone. He did not overshoot our expectations, but was very clear with how he felt our procedure would go and what we were to experience. We couldn’t be happier.
The office staff by all means was the upmost professional medical staff I have ever been involved with,they really knew what they was doing. Dr Robertson came in the exam room and sat down and told me everything that he was going Show moreto do with in-depth explanation to where it was very understandable for someone that’s not a Doctor.He was very nice and I knew he cared for his patients when I left the appointment. He also is very knowledgeable about his work.
Robert D. Robinson, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon at Alabama Neurological Surgery & Spine in Birmingham, Alabama. He joined the clinic in 2008.
Originally based on the west coast, Dr. Robinson earned his undergraduate degree at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. He remained in Colorado for medical school, studying at the University of Colorado’s School of Medicine in Aurora.
Selected by the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s prestigious program, Dr. Robinson relocated to Alabama for his internship and residency. His skill and precision in neurosurgery earned him the title of Chief Resident in Neurosurgery in 1998.
Dr. Robinson initially practiced in Atlanta, Georgia, and Tuscaloosa, Alabama, before joining Alabama Neurological Surgery & Spine. In 2009, he was recognized as one of America’s Best Doctors.

Initial visit very productive and Dr Robinson clearly explained the procedure he would be using. Gave us great confidence. Staff was professional and efficient.

Dr. Robinson was referred by my primary care provider after 2 previous neurological opinions yielded no results or treatment options. At least now we have choices for treatment and we’ll see how it goes instead of being told “the resurrection will be good for you” by previous neurologist.
