I couldn’t have had a better outcome from the beginning when we walked into the office and met with Dr. Robinson until we went through the whole surgical experience and had the outcome we only dreamed of gaining. We waited 20 yearShow mores in fear of not being able to have a good outcome, but Dr Robinson made it happen by the grace of God We would highly recommend me and his staff to anyone. He did not overshoot our expectations, but was very clear with how he felt our procedure would go and what we were to experience. We couldn’t be happier.

Robert D. Robinson, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon at Alabama Neurological Surgery & Spine in Birmingham, Alabama. He joined the clinic in 2008.
Originally based on the west coast, Dr. Robinson earned his undergraduate degree at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. He remained in Colorado for medical school, studying at the University of Colorado’s School of Medicine in Aurora.
Selected by the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s prestigious program, Dr. Robinson relocated to Alabama for his internship and residency. His skill and precision in neurosurgery earned him the title of Chief Resident in Neurosurgery in 1998.
Dr. Robinson initially practiced in Atlanta, Georgia, and Tuscaloosa, Alabama, before joining Alabama Neurological Surgery & Spine. In 2009, he was recognized as one of America’s Best Doctors.

So very nice !! I’ve seen many doctors over the years and Dr Robinson came in, put chart away and listened to me. Gave me his full attention not listening and charting at same time cause he had already REVIEWED my chart and knew the plan coming in! So many make you feel like they only worried about charting. 100% GRADE A!! Thank you !!

Dr. Robinson did an excellent job explaining the procedure he is performing on me. His staff were very helpful and professional as was Dr. Robinson. Very glad I was referred to them.
Staff was great! Dr. Robinson came into the room with his mind made up...epidurals. If that didn't work. A pain simulator implanted. Never read my paperwork....temporary paralysis and urinary incontinence and fecal incontinence. My husband brought it up and he seemed to be surprised. (Again didn't read my paperwork) He said maybe the epidural will help with that. I wasn't listen to, evaluated, or cared for!

Dr Robinson has excellent bedside manor and does great work. I worked in the operating room with him years ago, and also, he did my cervical fusion.

The office staff by all means was the upmost professional medical staff I have ever been involved with,they really knew what they was doing. Dr Robertson came in the exam room and sat down and told me everything that he was going to do with in-depth explanation to where it was very understandable for someone that’s not a Doctor.He was very nice and I knew he cared for his patients when I left the appointment. He also is very knowledgeable about his work.
