Dr. Spillers is the best on every level. He's congenial, excellent at calming a patient nervous around a drill (me!), and most importantly, is painless. I've lived numerous places and had many dentists, many of them excellent, sShow moreome of them abysmal (as in should not have been practicing), but Dr. Spillers is the absolute best I've had in 65 years. He's efficient and fast but also causes NO pain. In having my very old crown replaced, I was in and out quickly but MOST importantly, feeling no pain ~ not 10 minutes later, not 10 hours later, not ever. I'm almost always at least a little sore at best after major work. I didn't even feel numb when I left. How does he do it? I was terribly nervous during the procedure (no reflection on him, just how I'm wired), and I was making suggestions (not to be taken seriously) for music that would calm me down, and the assistant actually pulled me up a song on her computer (and weirdly, it DID calm me down). They deliver the goods. I'm so grateful for his great personality and effective skills (and friendly and personable assistant); I HIGHLY recommend him.
Throughout the years, I've received a substantial amount of dental care and visited a significant number of practices. Dr. Spillers is a very charismatic person, supranational in patience, and down to earth. He picked up on anShow more issue that bothered me for several years and offered an immediate solution. For context, I saw approximately five dentists in the last two years, and he was the first to ask if the issue bothered me. -At this point, I gave up on mentioning it as no one presented a solution.- Therefore, I greatly appreciate Dr. Spillers' insight and experience. Regarding the staff and without hyperbole, they're the happiest practice I've encountered. I left with the impression they genuinely enjoy their workplace. Also, the staff takes special considerations for those who might fear dentistry. If someone wants to visit a dentist and leave with a positive experience, I recommend their practice.
Ronald Spillers, DDS, is an experienced aesthetic dentist who sees patients at Albemarle Dental Associates located in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Dr. Spillers graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) cum laude in 1999 and worked in Richmond, Virginia, in private practice until 2007. In Richmond, Dr. Spillers taught at VCU School of Dentistry on the adjunct faculty. He also volunteered at free local clinics. In 2006, Dr. Spillers was listed in “Richmond’s Best Of“ magazine as Richmond’s top public health dentist.
Since 2007, Dr. Spillers has lived in Afton, Virginia, and has served patients in Augusta, Highland, and Rockingham Counties. He enjoys working with children as well as patients with complex restorative needs.
Dr. Spillers currently resides in Crozet, Virginia, with his wife and daughter. Outside of practicing dentistry, he enjoys photography, music, musical instrument building, cycling, and woodworking.

Another wonderful experience with this practice. I have never really liked the dentist due to most of them not really being gentle, but Dr. Park is hands down THE BEST dentist if you have fears about the dentist. She reassures you through the whole appointment, she is SUPER gentle, and extremely thorough. While I haven't been seen by any other dentist at this practice yet, I am pretty confident that they all use the same high level of care. Everyone from the front office staff to the dentist and dental assistant are very nice. I absolutely love it and am finally don't have near as much anxiety when it comes to dental appointments.

This is first time in many years that I required no adjustment nor time to adapt to a new denture. It speaks to Dr. Park’s skill and determination in getting it right the first time. She was meticulous throughout. She was also patient and caring when my illness temporarily interrupted the process.
I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Spillers. He is not only excellent in his craft he has a wonderful bedside manner and is really fun to be around. All of the staff in this practice are just a joy to deal with. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Dr. Spillers is just the BEST. Always kind and considerate, but professional and skilled, he'll put you totally at ease. You can tell he cares about his patients and their comfort, both physical and emotional. He's also really funny. I've had a couple fabulous dentists in other states and a couple that made an hour's trip to the dentist a week of torment (and debilitating anticipatory anxiety before), so my schizophrenic dental experiences probably make me a lousy patient, but Dr. Spillers is definitely restoring my trust in climbing into the dental chair. The front desk people and the dental assistants are also consistently friendly and helpful. Always as pleasant an experience as you can get considering there might be a drill involved! No Marathon Man experiences in THIS office! Dr. Spillers, he da man.
I usually hate going to the dentist, but Dr. Park is so gentle and reassuring. Each time I have gone it has been a virtually pain free visit. Definitely the best dental experience I've ever had.

The staff is friendly and very professional from the moment you walk in and throughout your appointment. They don’t try to sell you services you don’t need like other dentists in town. I highly recommend Dr. Ronald Spillers for all your dental needs.
The front office person, I think her name was Chris, was the best part of this experience. Super nice. Dentist was efficient in teeth cleaning and spent zero time chattering. All business, no frills…which I kind of like in that it isn’t the easiest time to converse. But I would have liked a little more explanation of a few of the procedures prior to them being popped on me before any discussion.
Dr Spillers and his assistant as well as the entire staff are all professionals. I've been going here for many years and have experienced visits with a few of the dentists here. I have not been disappointed in any way. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and cared about. If there is a concern, they bend over backwards to ease my worries cause quite frankly, it's not my favorite place to visit but it's all changed since going here. Love Dr. Spillers calming approach when I am a nervous wreck. I settle down and he gets the job done! Can't ask for better treatment! You won't be disappointed!
