It was a mixed experience. Some of the staff were warm and friendly, but the appointment itself was not expeditious. It is a very (very) small office and you have a sense of being heard like cattle back and forth to the waiting roShow moreom along with all the other patients. I think patients could benefit from being told what to expect when they arrive, including the series of handoffs and waiting that is involved. Additionally, while your reception team is kind, when they are not assisting patients directly, they are disruptive, too personal/casual in conversation and lacking in self-awareness. Lastly, due to the small confines, there is lack of privacy when discussing personal matters, next steps, or diagnosis as you head out the door.
Dr. Ross Chod has the best staff working for him. All of them have terrific attitudes and do their jobs very well. Ross Chod, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon (or retina specialist). Dr. Chod founded Retina Specialists of Colorado in 2018 to provide Coloradans with the utmost in exceptional and compassionate retina care.
After growing up in St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Chod received his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine in 2012. Dr. Chod completed his ophthalmology residency at St. Louis University. From there, Dr. Chod did fellowship training in Vitreoretinal Surgery at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York City, before moving to Colorado to start Retina Specialists of Colorado.
Throughout his education and career, Dr. Chod has been published in numerous esteemed ophthalmic journals and has presented papers on his work at national ophthalmology meetings.
When he is out of the office, Dr. Chod takes great joy in spending time with his family, including his wife and three children. He also enjoys staying active with skiing, golf, and ice hockey.

After I had eye surgery several years ago, I started getting floaters in one of my eyes and Dr. Chod removed the floaters and have been going to him for follow ups. He is concerned about your eye health and his staff is great.

This was a rescheduled appointment because my original appointment was canceled without notice. Office staff keeps changing and apparently my information was " not in the new system". When I arrived for my appointment I was informed that the Dr. wasn't in. I like Dr. Chod but he needs to get his office straightened out.
Dr Chod explained the process from beginning to the end. The care and attention given by him and his support staff was great.

Dr. Chod is so thorough, professional, caring and takes the time to explain everything. I am so grateful that he does his foloup appointments quick when he sees something he feels is serious/suspicious. Fortunately for me and my vision the problem is being addressed and will be medically corrected soon. No one likes to have medical issues but having a Dr. that seems to care so much about your eye health is reassuring. I highly recommend him!

Greets you when he walks into the room, gets right to his work, looks at everything concerning your eye health. In my case he Laziered my right retina, that was scheduled for Cataract surgery a week later he suggested doing left eye cataract first, which worked out for me all around. Asks if you have any questions or concerns. Not to mention he did a wonderful surgery on my torn retina on my left eye. Thanks Dr Chod
