I can honestly say that I highly recommend Dr. Chod and his practice to anyone who needs a retina specialist. He is kind, friendly, and patient. He is very knowledgeable and will explain everything he's doing. He takes his timeShow more with me which is very important when it comes to my vision. His partner in his practice, Dr. Jansen, is also very good. I have seen both doctors and am very pleased. The support staff is excellent. They are efficient, friendly and willing to answer any questions you have.
I have never had such a thorough and complete exam by an eye doctor in my life. I was told that there doesn't appear to be anything wrong and yet Dr c h o d told me to come back in 2 months and if I needed to before that. I feel fShow moreully evaluated and satisfied with his assessment. The staff was all very gracious and supportive and encouraging. This is what I would call a dynamite practice.
Ross Chod, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon (or retina specialist). Dr. Chod founded Retina Specialists of Colorado in 2018 to provide Coloradans with the utmost in exceptional and compassionate retina care.
After growing up in St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Chod received his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine in 2012. Dr. Chod completed his ophthalmology residency at St. Louis University. From there, Dr. Chod did fellowship training in Vitreoretinal Surgery at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York City, before moving to Colorado to start Retina Specialists of Colorado.
Throughout his education and career, Dr. Chod has been published in numerous esteemed ophthalmic journals and has presented papers on his work at national ophthalmology meetings.
When he is out of the office, Dr. Chod takes great joy in spending time with his family, including his wife and three children. He also enjoys staying active with skiing, golf, and ice hockey.

My meeting with Dr Chod was very pleasant. Even with a full waiting room, he took the time to answer all my questions and make sure all the tests I needed done were completed. He made me feel very confident and relaxed.
I appreciate the staffs’ friendliness and Dr Chod’s transparency regarding my recommended treatment and follow-up. Given my family history of retina issues, I particularly value his proactive approach to my eye care. I have rated my experience four stars, primarily due to the wait time. The office was very busy, and the total duration from my scheduled appointment time until I left the clinic was approximately two hours.

I have been seeing Dr. Chod for 4 years now. He is absolutely amazing! I was so lucky to get him. My eye doctor recommended him. He knows what he is doing and I feel like I’m a friend of his. I am never uncomfortable in his office and he also has a terrific staff.

It is extremely frustrating to have an appt. and they are never on time. Tells me they think their time is more important mine. If it was only occasionally late it would be one thing but it is every time. Dr. Chod is a good Dr. but the practice is a mess.

Dr.chod is very thorough in his exams and very informative.
Either make your appointment at first in the morning or afternoon. You get out in half an hour.

Staff was pleasant and professional.
This was my first visit with Dr. Chod. I had transferred from my previous Doctor. Everyone was great! Dr. Chod asked questions and looked at my retina. He explained that my retina probably would not change, but annual examination was good! He saw no concerns.
