He explained everything as he was doing it and made sure I understood what what going on. TheShow more hygienist talked me through a breakdown and I can’t thank them enough. Experienced and compassionate dentist Dr. Rubina Zaman has been providing dental care to the residents of Houston, Texas, at her practice, Garden Oaks Dental, since 2006. As a child, Dr. Zaman feared visiting the dentist herself and understands how some patients may feel about coming in to see her. That's why she is extra gentle with everyone and offers unique sedation options for her more anxious patients.
Dr. Zaman’s philosophy is to treat each patient as she would want a family member treated, with kindness, compassion, and respect. She is loved by all who come in to see her and has been recognized as one of the best dentists in Houston by H-Texas Magazine three years in a row.
As a general dentist, Dr. Zaman provides care for the entire family ranging in age from 3 months to 90 years old. To improve her skills and treatment options for her patients, Dr. Zaman regularly attends continuing education courses, especially in orthodontics and other teeth-straightening options such as Invisalign® and ClearConnect®. She enjoys watching her patients leave the office with a big, beautiful smile.
Dr. Zaman began her undergraduate studies at the University of California at Berkeley and received her undergraduate degree at Houston Baptist University. She then went on to the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston for her doctorate in dental surgery. After finishing dental school, Dr. Zaman spent a year at the VA Hospital in Houston for her hospital-based general practice residency.
When she's not at the office, Dr. Zaman enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband and four children. She likes cooking, especially the recipes provided by her patients, reading, and travel. Dr. Zaman is also an active community member and served as an officer for the PTA at her children's school.

Dr. Rubina and her staff are excellent at all they’re care. I got a crown replaced by doctor Rubina and was out of there in less than an hour! She walked me through everything and followed up care. Great service and I would highly recommend!

The entire experience was positive. The next day appointment, the greeting upon arrival and the prompt attention/ escort to the exam room all were exceptional. The dental assistants and Dr. P were professionals and quite thorough. A treatment plan was presented that coordinated with other disciplines. Aisha gave a step by step explanation of insurance and my financial responsibilities. I am very pleased.
