Dr. An is a board-certified vascular surgeon who has been in practice since 2016. She is originally from Dallas, Texas, where she practiced for 6 years before relocating to Raleigh in 2023. Dr. An completed a specialized early college entrance program through the Texas Academy of Math & Science before obtaining her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin. Following this, she completed her medical school education at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Dr. An then trained for an additional five years in an integrated vascular surgery residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, which focused on the most advanced endovascular and vascular technologies available to treat vascular disease.
Dr. An has an interest in the minimally invasive treatment of varicose vein disease. She brings years of experience in treating patients with venous and lymphatic problems. She is known for the care and attention that she gives to her patients, and only proposes treatments when she truly believes that it will help.

Great doctor. She’s very detailed about the procedure that she will be performing.
The facility was very nice, modern and clean. I was greeted warmly by Karen and given information to fill out. There was a Short wait. The Doppler/sonogram operator was very professional and accommodating.Dr. Baquero was professional, quick to diagnose my condition after reviewing records sent from referring physicians and test results but aloof. While he talked of treatment options like physical therapy and alluded to local recommendations when I checked out the attending staff was unable to locate the potential referrals information and Karen ended up giving me a website. I was disappointed that the specific contact information and a referral that were made by and discussed with the doctor were not forthcoming. I left feeling relieved about the diagnosis but left hanging about next steps having assumed that would be in the information given at checkout. One final concern that keeps be from giving a higher rating was that after checkout, my blood pressure was taken and was unusually elevated with no comment or follow up.

Some days I stand almost 8 hours at a time as a busy hairdresser. My legs have never felt or looked better. I had prominent varicose veins when I arrived. Dr. Baquero and his office team are WONDERFUL to work with! Now I have the right legs for my tennis skirts!!

Dr Baquero is absolutely the best! I have been traveling from Hilton Head to Raleigh now for the last 6 weeks for my unsightly bulging hand veins that I inherited! I want my hands to look young without veins showing. I plan to get fat transfer once it's completed! He is so kind and not to mention brilliant! No matter how much work a plastic surgeon does for one's face or neck the real age shows in the hands. So I am in my fifties and decided to rejuvenate my hands before anything else!
