I had a very weird experience today with one of the ladies at the checkout counter. In simple terms she was blunt in her responses didn’t seem to care about your questions. A simple request like is their water so I can eat my medsShow more was a big deal and a instant no followed by okay let me see. A simple question of breakdown of a heavy bill of 434 seemed like it was annoying her. Didn’t get her name but this was on 3/1 at the Katy Methodist office. Dr Qureshi was pleasant and welcoming and great as usual. If it was not for Dr Qureshi I would not at all drive from sugar land to endocrine center for my dr visits. Patients need to be treated as customers. This is not a charity organization. I just paid 434 dollars for an office visit. I at least expect some politeness from the staff.
She was a delight the minute she entered my exam room for our first meeting. We spent a few minutes getting acquainted before she approached the reason for the visit. It was obvious that she had prepared herself by studying my pShow morerior medical history. My wife was in the exam room to assist me as I have become extremely hard of hearing. Dr. Ibrahim made sure that she communicated clearly her assessment of my current conditions and the options that she felt to be appropriate. It was a wonderful experience that my wife and I had and feel comfortable in the recommended plan.
Safa Ibrahim, MD, is board-certified in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism, as well as Internal Medicine. She practices out of the Main Campus and Methodist West locations of The Endocrine Center in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Ibrahim has been calling Houston home for the past 10 years since she migrated to the US from Sudan to pursue her medical training. She earned her medical degree from The National Ribat University in Sudan before completing her internal medicine residency at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio, where she also served as a Chief Resident in her final year of residency.
She returned to Texas for her fellowship training in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at Texas A&M/Baylor Scott and White in Temple. Dr. Ibrahim also holds a public health certificate from The University of Texas in Houston.
Dr. Ibrahim believes that patient education makes a big impact in their treatment journey; that’s why she spends time explaining the disease process and how it can adversely affect our bodies. She is also aware that diabetes and most hormonal imbalances are life-long conditions, so she focuses on improving a patient’s quality of life while optimizing and simplifying their treatment regimen.
When she’s not in the office, Dr. Ibrahim likes traveling with her husband and three kids to explore different cultures and food. She also enjoys baking.

Dr. Safa has the best bedside manners. She is very detailed and will go over everything with you. She does not make you feel rushed. She takes the time to explain everything. I wish all the doctors would be like her. I highly recommend her.
Dr. Qureshi is great. Takes his time with you and doesn’t rush. The lab person I had didn’t seem to happy…she looked at the list of people she had to draw labs for and said “I guess I’m not going to get a lunch…”. That is my only complaint. Dr Qureshi himself and staff are great.
Very professional and personable
She is timely, well educated, current within her field, does not force you to take medications you just don’t really need, listens to every concern or question you may have. Her staff is organized, patient, kind, if you misunderstood something, they rephrase it and check for knowledge and they never make you feel rushed. Overall, I am 100% pleased with the doctor and her staff. I would recommend them to my friends and family.
