Dr. Sagar Patel, PsyS, NCSP

Sagar Patel is a fellowship trained gastroenterologist.  His specialties include adult gastroenterology and hepatology.  His professional interests include, but are not limited to, management of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), chronic liver diseases, performing endoscopic procedures, colorectal cancer prevention, esophageal and stomach disorders.

Dr. Patel is native of Dayton, Ohio. He completed undergraduate and medical school at Boston University, Internal Medicine residency at the Ohio State University, and completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the Medical University of South Carolina. He was selected as a visiting IBD fellow at Cleveland Clinic through the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.  Also, he is fluent in conversational Spanish and Gujarati.

 
He now lives in Charlotte with his wife, two sons, and his wonderful golden doodle. He enjoys traveling the world and spending time exploring the Charlotte food scene. In his spare time, he enjoys running, cooking, and playing tennis.
