Sanjay Shah, MD, is a pain management physician at SEPA Pain & Spine in Horsham, Langhorne, and Chalfont, Pennsylvania. He joined the team in 2006.
Dr. Shah earned his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, and his medical degree from Ponce Health Sciences University in Puerto Rico. He then completed his residency in anesthesiology and a fellowship in pain management, both at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
He is a pain management physician who specializes in treating debilitating and painful conditions through various interventional orthopedic therapies. His philosophy for treating patients is based on staying current with the latest pain management, minimally invasive spine surgery, and regenerative techniques so he can provide the best possible care for his patients.
Dr. Shah is dual board-certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine through the American Board of Anesthesiology with a subspecialty certification in pain medicine. In 2014, Dr. Shah founded Regenexx Philadelphia, where he began treating patients by utilizing their own platelets and stem cells to regenerate tissue.
On a personal note, Dr. Shah is an avid do-it-yourselfer and makes every effort to stay current on technology. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with his family.

honest and upfront
I would highly recommend Dr. Shau to anyone that has server lower back pain. I've been seeing him for almost 10 years, that it self tells you how well he treats his patients. Thank you Dr.Shau.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Shah for several years and I have two main points to make. First, he knows me and each visit is a continuation of an ongoing relationship (vs. some doctors it’s like your first visit each time). Second, he treats me holistically and tailors my medications around my other medical conditions which have varied greatly over the years. I feel I can trust him.

I experienced excellent bedside manner, described the procedure well in advance of beginning injections Made himself openly inviting and available. Should you have any feedback during the procedure especially regarding pain. Provided description of the next steps and what to anticipate For the stem therapy. His technique was excellent with minor discomfort With some injections when they were deeper and almost no discomfort for other sites I highly recommend Dr. Shah To anyone who Is considering stem cell therapy
