Dr. Murthy did my hysterectomy years ago and it was a difficult surgery but she honored my request that I not be cut open and despite pressure from her colleague at the time went ahead with laser surgery to remove my uterus. No scShow morears and I was back on my feet in record time dating and playing sports. She is the best gynecologist I've ever had and is always sensitive to my concerns. Recently after getting inadequate attention from several doctors I made a desperate plea to Dr. Murthy's staff for an emergency appt...they got me in and Dr. Murthy took one look at me and called the ER. She took me seriously and if wasn't for her I wouldn't be here today. I was hospitalized for a month had 2 spine surgeries and a life threatening infection. This was not Dr. Murthy's area of expertise, but this is the level of care and concern she shows her patients. She cares. She saved my life and I highly recommend her for your medical needs.

I am a wife, mother, doctor and a businesswoman. Just like any woman, I wear many hats. I come from very humble beginnings and was raised to be a strong, positive, independent woman. I grew up in India and finished my medical school there. During medical school, I developed the passion for women’s health. I did residency training in obstetrics and gynecology in India. During this time, I married my high school sweetheart. Life after 2001 suddenly shifted and my husband had to move to the United States. That’s when I made a career move and came to the US to be together as a family. We started our new life here and I joined a residency program at St. John Hospital & Medical Center in Detroit. I enjoyed every single day of my training. This is where I met Dr. Kelly Gumbrecht. Kelly and I were always a great team. We began taking over the world together when we both became chief residents. Since then I have found a forever friend. We started working together in private practice in Rochester Hills and that’s when we found another friend in Dr. Goulding.
Beyond Women’s Care brings new beginnings and hope for me. We come together as a team of friends who are more like family, and we bring the same support and compassion to our patients.

I absolutely love doctor Murthy! Along with the others in the office! Dr Murthy specifically however is very straightforward in such a kind + respectful way.
