Mrs. Sarah Viola, MA, OTR/L

It became apparent early on in her career, while at a fieldwork experience at the North Dakota State Hospital (near the end of her university studies), that something truly could be done to help support those living with cognitive impairment, and the traditional healthcare environment had gaps that needed to improve if support of those individuals was going to be a true reality. Working in almost every setting in which an OT can support these individuals (acute care, outpatient, rehabilitation, long-term care, home health and hospice, independent and assisted living), Sarah has a diverse look at the extent of support needed for individuals from the start of impairment to the end of life. Opportunities throughout her career have allowed her to affect change throughout the united states for those living with dementia and she is so thankful for each experience that God has brought into her life.
