Scott Guess, MD, is a highly skilled ophthalmologist and retina specialist at Rocky Mountain Eye Center. He works with patients at the Missoula and Hamilton, Montana, locations - primarily practicing in the Missoula location.
Dr. Guess majored in biology and minored in chemistry at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, and earned his medical degree from the University of Toledo Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. He completed an internship at the Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle before moving on to the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center’s Dean McGee Eye Institute, where he completed a residency in ophthalmology and a fellowship in vitreoretinal disease and surgery.
In his practice, he specializes in vitreoretinal surgery, cataract surgery, and the treatment of macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
Outside of his work at Rocky Mountain Eye Center, Dr. Guess is passionate about giving back to the world. In May 2008, he traveled to Chengdu, China, to provide help in earthquake relief efforts and teach ophthalmology residents.

Dr. Guess is great. He is very knowledgeable and professional. I could go to an eye doctor in Helena for the recurring procedure I get, but I choose to travel a couple of hours to Missoula to see Dr. Guess. I trust him with my eyes.

Very little wait time. When just getting my shot I am there for maybe 20 minutes. When pics of eyes need done I am there for maybe an hour. Everyone is very nice and friendly.
