Dr. Strohmeyer is exactly what you want from a doctor when you go to a doctors appointment. He walks in the room and gets straight to the point of why you are there knowing you really do not want to hear it He told me I need shouShow morelder replacement . He showed me the x-ray. Stating it is bone on bone. Being direct but, with a a confidence and tone you trust what he is telling you and you feel in his hands you will be O,K. A calming manner He gives you options but, replacement is the best. You can tell everyone on the office thinks he is a good guy and the little old ladies in waiting room find him charming.. He is one of a kind ..I have spent way too much time stuck in a room with a doctor talking me to death about everything else but, why I made the appointment. Most appreciated.
Dr. Strohmeyer and the staff at Boss and at Beaufort Memorial are all pleasant and professional. The entire diagnostic, surgical and follow-up procedure was as smooth as silk. I am always so surprised and pleased at how the medShow moreical professionals here in Beaufort and in Bluffton can be so attentive and responsive, with positive and upbeat dispositions. I think some of it is because of the wonderful area where we live, but I also feel like everyone genuinely enjoys their jobs and cares about their patients. This gives me great confidence in the work that they do.
About Dr. Strohmeyer
Scott E. Strohmeyer, MD, is board certified in orthopaedic surgery, specializing in the evaluation and treatment of adult and pediatric spinal disorders. He is proud to serve patients at Beaufort Orthopaedic Sports & Spine in Beaufort, Bluffton, and Hilton Head, South Carolina.
After graduating with honors from Auburn University, Dr. Strohmeyer received his medical degree from the University of South Alabama (USA). He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery from USA and completed his fellowship training in spine surgery at Louisiana State University.
Dr. Strohmeyer’s clinical interests include all disorders of the degenerative spine. He has a special interest in conservative non-operative treatment of spinal disorders, which allows his patients to continue an active lifestyle. When possible, Dr. Strohmeyer utilizes minimally invasive techniques to ensure a quick recovery.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is a member of the North American Spine Society and South Carolina Spine Society. He continues to be active with the AO Foundation in teaching new advances in spinal care and new surgical techniques.
Dr. Strohmeyer is married to Dr. JoAnn Csakany, a board-certified OB/GYN, and they have two daughters, Abigail and Mary Alice.

Everyone there is friendly and professional. Appointments are on time which is a a decided plus! DR. Strohmeyer performed my surgery just like he said he would and it took under a month from first is it to surgery. I am absolutely pleased with BOSS and Dr. Strohmeyer.

The whole staff was professional.
As always, Dr Strohmeyer was open and upfront about my recovery from foot drop. Moving on to return to the nerve doctor for further evaluation.

That atmosphere in the office is so welcoming. I didn't have to wait very long to see the doctor. I must say, I was surprised at what he saw on my xray but I'm grateful there was nothing serious. Everyone is so nice and pleasant. Very professional
He is the best Dr we have ever had. Even when he is very busy, he never rushes us. We also love that BOSS has all the equipment and we don’t have to go place to place for our tests. His staff is wonderful also. Susan and Howard.

Just had my 3-month follow up from surgery. I thought it was the first class operation when I first started. Still do unbelievably the best Dr. Strohmeyer his team, are first class can't say enough. . Everything clean fairly easy to park. Highly recommend easy check in check out
Very attentive and provided a simple explanation of my condition
Dr S looked at the X-rays, concluded that there were 3 possibilities but we would have to wait and perhaps do more X-rays to be absolutely right. Meanwhile I’d been taking aleve and Tylenol and my pain disappeared. I dropped both meds and the pain did not come back. I cancelled a further appointment with Mikhail Nobokov that someone made for me without my knowledge. End of story.

Dr. Strohmeyer is wonderful! He fixed my back again. I like that he gets right to the point. He tells you what the problem is, how he can fix it, and you decide. I could not walk before this fusion, tomorrow will be two weeks since the fusion and already feeling better. He is an outstanding surgeon, and has become a good friend!
This was my first time meeting Dr Strohmeyer. Fortunately for me, my steroid burst had kicked in and my pain had significantly subsided over the weekend before my appointment. Dr Srohmeyer was easy to converse with and knew exactly where my pain was. He directed me to start physical therapy. I am glad that I was able to establish a baseline visit with him as I have had spine surgery in the past long before I moved to the lowcountry.
