Dr. Shamimara Chowdhury is a proud native of New York City. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the SUNY College of Optometry where she gained extensive clinical experiences from various clinics and hospitals throughout the city. She is passionate about service, motivating her to participate on a VOSH mission trip in 2026 to Panama where she provided free eye examinations and coordinated donation of glasses in underserved villages.
