With this being my first pregnancy (which is terrifying) this staff and Dr. obey make it so easy to be a patient. Every time I am here yes there is a wait (welcome to being a patient) but it’s normal. There is ONE doctor and many Show morepregnant ladies and we clearly come here for one reason. Because she’s the best. She treats not only me and the baby well but my husband as well and I appreciate that. I highly recommend her and her team and I promise the wait is worth it.
Dr Obey has seen me since November of last year. Office is clean, organized, visually appealing. As far as care, Dr Obey really listened and addressed any concerns we had big or small. She treated us like she would treat a long tiShow moreme friend. I always felt supported at each visit. When it comes to expertise, I felt Dr Obey knew what she was talking about. Long wait time to be seen when sign in but I heard it was worth the wait . I canceled 3x then finally made it to my first appt . And very much satisfied with Dr . She is amazing an detailed with everything. Jus be prepared to be waiting in office for awhile
I like that Dr Obey is personable and caring.
My first visit with Dr. Obey was refreshing. She took the time to truly hear my concerns and did not immediately push medication. Instead, she discussed alternative options and made me feel involved in the decision-making process regarding my care. She was knowledgeable, thorough, and clearly does not take a one-size-fits-all approach with her patients. Her office was very clean and inviting, and her staff was friendly, welcoming, and approachable. I would definitely recommend her.
Very clean Office and very nice front desk staff. The doctor herself is very professional and nice and makes sure to answer all of your questions and make you feel comfortable.
Dr. Obey makes you feel so comfortable and answers all question you have . She explains everything in detail that’s why she has so many patients and her clinic is always full , the wait is worth it
The moment I walked in the office I felt welcomed as the receptionist immediately greeted me. When I was called in to get my vitals checked, nurse was very nice and sweet. Once Dr. Obey walked in I felt the warm welcome as she introduced herself to me. She took her time to explain things to me and never did I feel rushed by her. I loved her attitude and most of her motivation and encouragement. :)
I really like the staff they are very friendly, polite and professional. The office is always clean and welcoming. Dr. Shawanda is great, professional, knowledgeable and humbled. She always does the best for patients.

Dr. Obey is truly phenomenal. She is pioneering the way for Black women in medicine and provides exceptional, compassionate care to her patients. I feel so grateful to have found her. It’s rare to find a Black woman doctor, especially in California. She is incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and has now become my primary care physician. I highly recommend her!

I truly have no words to describe my experience with Dr. Obey. From the moment she walked in the room and I met her I knew this was her calling, Woman’s health! I have been struggling to find a female doctor that understands what I am going through with my perimenopause symptoms. She took the time to listen to me as if she was my friend. She really understood everything I was going through and had so much knowledge regarding menopause . She is the only doctor who has been able to help me.
Dr.Obey has to be one of the most caring, genuine, present doctors I have been treated by. She is sharp, and knowledgeable. I could genuinely feel her concern and care in her mannerisms. She removed a cervical polyp so swiftly and painlessly. It was a great pleasure to meet her.
