As a physician myself. I know how important it is to have good bedside manner and to be a good communicator. However, Dr. Jones is an amazing communicator and has an awesome bedside manner. I’ve never had a physician educate to Show morethis level at the bedside and I usually resort to educating myself. She has been a breath of fresh air.

From an early age growing up in Massachusetts, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in the medical field. My love of biology in high school made pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing both an obvious choice and a very enjoyable undertaking. The birth of my oldest daughter, which was attended by a midwife, inspired me to enroll at Stony Brook University for a master’s degree in nursing with a concentration in midwifery.
I have been in the nursing profession for 24 years, 7 of which as a midwife. I worked in several areas of nursing prior to midwifery school, including the emergency departments, intensive care units, medical-surgical nursing, as well as community health homecare. Working in various types of specialties has been enormously fulfilling. These experiences gave me the burning desire to further fuel my professional growth by completing a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2022 in an effort to expand my contribution to the profession and have a greater positive impact.
In addition to practicing midwifery, I also teach medical students in the office setting and serve as a Clinical Instructor at Emory University. Furthermore, I teach postpartum hemorrhage drills to nursing staff at a local hospital. My clinical interests include improving outcomes for women during obstetrical care by improving communication between patients and their healthcare team. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling with my family, reading, and walking.
Midwifery is my calling. I plan to continue answering that call to serve my patients in various capacities for many years to come.

She is AMAZING! She's very attentive and listens to concerns with without judgement. Makes you feel seen and heard while also explaining diagnoses in understandable terms. You can really tell she loves what she does and would recommend to anyone looking for a new provider!!

Dr. E as I often called her has been a God sent throughout my entire pregnancy. She created an atmosphere my husband and I felt empowered to voice our concerns, ask questions, and actively engage in discussions about my health and that of my baby. For this we want to thank you so much from the bottom of hearts for taking such good care of us during/after the pregnancy as well as the delivery!! Because of your professionalism and great smiles, we felt like we were in good hands and that gave us peace of mind towards the big day.
