I am new patient, so I don’t know yet how things gonna be ,when I finish, or I have more session with her I will give the clinic five stars . But for now I can say She took time to talk to me ,to understand my needs for the firstShow more appointment. I was a little late because I couldn't find the place but the waiting time in the lobby for me was a lot but everything is fine as soon as I start the treatment I will give Them the 5 stars . What I liked, they gave me the appointment very quickly. So you don’t need to wait so long to have an appointment that’s great I recommend that part . As well It is seen that the doctor is a professional.
The staff was very courteous & attentive. My visit with Dr. Raina was one of the best experiences that I’ve had with a doctor especially a podiatrist. Dr. Raina impressed me with her high knowledge of podiatry medicine. Dr. RainShow morea explained the status of my right foot & why it collects so much callouse. Dr. Raina proceeded to advise how I should handle taking care of my foot.
Board-certified podiatrist Shweta Raina, DPM, brings considerable experience in podiatric medicine and orthopedic surgery to New York City Ankle & Foot serving men, women, and families at two locations in Jackson Heights and Woodside, Queens.
Dr. Raina was born in Srinagar, India. Her family immigrated to the United States in 1995 and settled in the suburbs of Washington, DC. Both of Dr. Raina’s parents were doctors. Growing up, she volunteered at several Virginia and DC-area hospitals before beginning her formal medical training.
Dr. Raina began her professional pursuits at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She subsequently enrolled at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, and obtained her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine.
Following graduation, Dr. Raina participated in a four-year podiatric residency at New York Hospital Queens in Flushing, New York. There, she trained in comprehensive conservative and surgical management of foot and ankle pathology. She also took in-house calls at a Level-I trauma center and performed surgery with podiatrists and foot and ankle orthopedists.
During her time as a resident, Dr. Raina also studied abnormal plantar skin temperatures in neuropathic patients, vascular malformations of the foot, and management of midfoot fracture-dislocations.
As a podiatrist, Dr. Raina has a warm and friendly demeanor. She believes in taking a “whole-body” approach to podiatry and considers each patients’ unique history and medical conditions, as well as their age and lifestyle before developing a treatment plan. Dr. Raina always sets aside time to spend with each individual and discusses all options for treatment before moving forward. She’s also fluent in English, Spanish, and Hindi.

Our daughter suffered a painful toe injury. Dr. Raina was kind, explained our options and talked through the whole procedure. This approach made our daughter comfortable and the procedure was as quick as Dr. Raina could be.
Not only she has an excellent bedside manner and honest approach but is knowledgeable and makes patients feel comfortable.

Dr. Raina is a good listener and took her time evaluating my ankle. She was very thorough and informative and broke down (no pun intended, lol) what she thought was going on with my ankle after the x-rays.
