Dr. Stephen Fisher, MD

Stephen Fisher, M.D., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon currently in private practice with offices inBuford, Braselton and Cumming, Georgia. Alongside his team, Dr. Fisher provides friendly, cutting-edge care with an individualized approach. Dr. Fisher has received numerous awards including being recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor each year since 2021.

Before venturing into private practice, Dr. Fisher completed an extensive educational path. He attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for his Doctor of Medicine before completing an orthopedic surgery residency at Wayne State University - Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. During his final year there, he was chief resident. 

Dr. Fisher then completed fellowship training in sports medicine at Lake Tahoe Orthopedic Institute in Incline Village, Nevada. Since then, he has stayed abreast of the latest advancements in his field with memberships in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine and the Georgia Orthopedic Society.

Dr. Fisher specializes in treating conditions of the shoulder and knee as well as acute sports medicine injuries.  He takes a comprehensive approach to healing injuries, finding great success with orthobiologics, complex repair and reconstruction surgeries of the knee and shoulder, advanced joint preservation techniques, and meniscus root repair.
