Steven D. Kushnick, MD, is a double board-certified surgeon specializing in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery (ENT) and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He has his own private practice in the Fort Greene neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, and has been serving the residents of New York City for more than 30 years.
Dr. Kushnick serves as the chairman of the Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery department at Brooklyn Hospital. Dr. Kushnick is dedicated to providing a comprehensive range of high-quality ear, nose, and throat care. He treats patients from infancy to adulthood, using the latest techniques to ensure the highest quality of care.
Dr. Kushnick graduated magna cum laude from Tulane University and received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. He then completed his otolaryngology – head and neck surgery residency at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, where he was the chief resident. After his residency, he continued his training by completing an internationally recognized fellowship with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Beverly Hills, California, at the Lasky Clinic with Dr. Frank Kamer. He has received national awards for his medical research and has published in otolaryngology textbooks and medical journals. He has also lectured at national and international medical meetings.

Idk why they don’t answer their phone calls anymore. I used to book appointments by call and now they do it through website and by the time I actually booked my appointment on the website I had to book two weeks out even though I was feeling a lot of pain.

Came to see Dr.Kushnick as a private patient for paid consultation regarding my ear problem. It was easy to get the appointment but the appointment itself was such a dissapoitent. Dr.Kushnick did a quick 1 minute exam concluding that there is no ear infection but didn't ask in depth about any history, symptoms or other information to understand the problem. He told me that I need a hearing test, that has to be done at another place which is also not convenient at all. (And hearing loss was not even the issue for me or part of my symptoms) and that I would need to come back for another paid consultation after the hearing test is completed. As a doctor myself I understand how important it is to listen to the patient and get as much information as possible for the proper diagnosis, and unfortunately Dr.Kushnick didn't do any of that. Even the physical exam itself was not comprehensive at all. But I am grateful that Dr.Kushnick referred me for the hearing test, where I was able not only complete the whole testing but also get a comprehensive exam but also met another great doctor who actually took his time to understand the problem and do everything possible to help me. I can't recommend Dr.Kushnick based on my experience.
