My Mother was admitted to Mercy Medical Center on October 17, 2023.On the second and third day my mother got worse under the care of one of the doctors there. They failed to give her one of her medication that helped with her lungShow mores. She was close to being in a coma. They started giving her medication, but at that point for days after, she was lethargic. She couldn’t breathe, eat, talk , get out of bed. Her daughters took turns staying all day and night with her to care for her. That Doctor was trying to discharge my mom from the Hospital on the first of November in the state she was in. We requested another Doctor on October 31,2023. Doctor Ryan the new doctor came in, and he said that mom was not ready to go home. Doctor Ryan called doctor Patel mom’s lung doctor to come see mom. He said mom was very lethargic, and so he ordered some test. The test came back, she still had pneumonia, high carbondioxide, fluid around her heart and lungs . Doctor Patel was very upset. He started her on an iv , antibiotics , new medication, and Budesonide inhalation Suspension that started to help her breathe better. Dr. Ryan, and Dr. Patel keeping mom until Sunday November 5 ,2023 to keep her in the hospital because of the new medication that are given to her, and to make sure she continues to get better. On November 5,2023 Doctors Singh took over for Doctor Ryan, he also keep mom for one more night . Dr. Singh stopped mom Bayer aspirin because it wasn’t working . Changed it to Apixaban , and he keeped her in the hospital for one more night. So we’re so grateful the Dr. Ryan , Dr. Patel, and doctor Singh took over my mom care in the hospital. If it wasn’t for them my mom would have died there. So thank you so much.

My husband and I are new patients with Dr. Sunit Patel. We both are very impressed with Doctor Patel. He’s very patient and knowledgeable. He explained everything about what he felt we needed and we didn’t feel rushed. He also listened to our concerns. I am so glad we have Doctor Patel as our pulmonary doctor. Dr Patel is knowledgeable and experienced. His office staff are polite and efficient. The office is clean and pleasant. My only complaint is that they are always running behind. Plan on waiting an hour or more and bring a good book!

Dr Patel has given my wife so much and needed emergency care and he stayed on top, when he sendlt her to hospital for a rare bacteria called pseudomonas .
