I really liked Dr. Mehta. She was super personable and knowledgeable. Office staff was competent and courteous. Waiting area was very nice. Office was clean, which is important; every medical office should be spotless. My only comShow moreplaint would be the wait time. This was my first time here. I had a 9am appt, I arrived at 8:45 to fill out paperwork. After waiting in the lobby and then the exam room fo a very long time, Dr. mehta came in for my exam at 10 am. I waited a whole hour past my appt time before being seen, and I believe I was the first patient that morning. To me, a doctor’s time is very valuable, but I also believe every patient’s time is equally valuable. I can understand someone running 15 or even 30 min behind, but an hour is really unreasonable. That is my only critique otherwise i was very satisfied with my visit and my care.
I came in for my 1st obgyn visit at 16 weeks. Front desk was VERY sweet & kind. The MA Was very kind and attentive as well & Dr. Mahta was a sweet heart but I guess the time my appointment was, was very close to lunch time, they tShow moreried to squeeze me in to get an ultrasound sound with the Hispanic sonogram nurse, I felt as if she was in a hurry to get done with me so she could eat lunch. Her attitude was very rushing and short patient. I didn’t feel very welcomed and excited as for when I went to women’s hope center who had referred me to them, they made me feel comfortable and relaxed to get an ultrasound. But other than that, I had a great experience. Doctor was very informative, loving & helpful as well as her front desk & medical assistant.
Tina Mehta, DO, FACOOG, is a diligent OB/GYN who brings a compassionate bedside manner and a wealth of experience to her patients at Elite OB/GYN in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Dr. Mehta grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, and moved to Florida to attend Nova Southeastern University College of Arts and Sciences, where she graduated with high honors and a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She began her medical career while an undergraduate, with summer research externships at the Cleveland Clinic of Florida in Weston and the University of Florida Shands Hospital in Gainesville.
Dr. Mehta continued her education at Nova Southeastern University College of Medicine, where she earned not only her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree but a Master of Business Administration degree as well. She then temporarily relocated to Michigan, where she completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the Botsford Hospital in Farmington through Michigan State University.
During her residency, Dr. Mehta excelled at robotic and laparoscopic surgery, and she has continued to develop this skill set in her professional career at Elite OB/GYN. She’s proficient with the MonaLisa Touch® laser and routinely performs cosmetic gynecological surgeries and minimally invasive procedures in the office, such as vaginal rejuvenation and labiaplasty. Dr. Mehta is also highly experienced with in-hospital obstetric and gynecological surgery, including working with the da Vinci® surgical system.
Dr. Mehta is affiliated with the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Osteopathic Association, and DOCARE International.
In her free time, Dr. Mehta enjoys dancing, piano, violin, and outdoor activities such as kayaking, hiking, and whitewater rafting. She looks forward to welcoming new patients to Elite OB/GYN and keeping them healthy.
