Dr. Sydney Beache, MD

Dr. Beache was raised in Boston, Baltimore, and Louisville, Kentucky. She was inspired to pursue a career in medicine after volunteering with a free cancer screening clinic in high school.

Dr. Beache earned her undergraduate degree from Stanford University, and her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She then completed her General Surgery residency at Washington University in St. Louis, and a fellowship in Colon & Rectal Surgery at (The) Ohio State University. Wanting to better understand how to improve access to cancer screening in underserved communities, Dr. Beache completed her Masters in Population Health Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis during her residency, and has and published and presented on this topic in national forums.

As a colorectal surgeon, Dr. Beache has advanced training in laparoscopy and robotic surgery, including Transanal Minimally Invasive Surgery (TAMIS). She cares for patients with inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal cancer, diverticulitis, inflammatory bowel disease, cancer, pelvic floor disorders, pilonidal disease, and anorectal problems.

Outside of work, Dr. Beache enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, hiking/camping, live music, and spending time with friends and family.
