I met with Dr. Pfitzer for the first time on Monday, December 10 for an infected ingrown toenail removal. I was a bit apprehensive about the process because I had watched YouTube videos prior to my experience to get a feel for whShow moreat was to come. Honestly, from the moment I arrived at the office to meeting with Dr. Pfitzer and having my procedure to the moment I left, the ENTIRE experience was very pleasant! Dr. Pfitzer was very friendly, very informative and just an absolute delight. I experienced very little discomfort before and after the procedure and am on my way to making a full recovery. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Pfitzer and her team to anyone experiencing issues with their feet.
Dr. PFITZER has a great team of professionals. After the first visit I saw a difference in my sprained ankle. I followed her recommendations and right now I am on my way to getting the spring back in my steps. I will forever Show morebe grateful. Tawnya Pfitzer, DPM, is an experienced podiatrist specializing in foot and ankle health for the entire family. Whether she’s treating an infant or an adult, Dr. Pfitzer offers a wide range of services at Desert Canyon Foot & Ankle in Avondale, Arizona, where she’s known for her kind and gentle touch.
After receiving her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona, where she was a member of the honors college and attended on a Presidential Scholarship, Dr. Pfitzer graduated with honors from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. She completed a surgical residency at Northridge Hospital in Van Nuys, California, and has studied both the general practices of medicine and surgery.
Her interests include biomechanics, sports medicine, and pediatrics, and she has extensive training in diagnosis, management, and surgical treatment of both chronic and acute issues.
In addition to her practice, Dr. Pfitzer currently trains podiatry students from Midwestern University in Glendale, California. She lives locally with her husband and two daughters.

Such a pleasure to visit this facility. It is very clean and Covid is taken serious. All the employees are so kind and pleasant. There was no waiting around to be seen. Very prompt. And those fish, they are gorgeous.

Excellent care as usual
I felt confident after leaving the doctor's office, that my infection would heal in time. Patience was the key, but after a period of time, if there was no improvement, I should set up another appointment. This made perfect sense.
Dr Pfitzer was exceptional in not only the diagnosis, but also in addressing the issue with my left foot. After a few treatments my foot looks as good as new.
I am very pleased and impressed by the attention to patient care by both Dr. Pfitzer, her assistant, the the staff.

To many people waiting room, with no mask or staff covid19 is still a problem been senior as well as poor health is nit good or safe no temperature check worried

Dr. Pfitzer is great! She takes her time with her patients, listens, and gives detailed feedback and instruction.
Waiting room time was kept to a minimum. When called to my exam room, a student, Kelly, promptly took my history and started working on my wound. Dr. Tanya Pfitzer came in to check my wound and both feet in general. I'm diabetic so she checked both before bandaging my wound. I'm always happy when leaving there.
