Theresa Conyac, MD, FACOG, is an obstetrician and gynecologist, and the founder of Glow Obstetrics & Gynecology in Rockwall, Texas. Dr. Conyac is devoted to ensuring the appropriate care for women and offers comprehensive solutions in a welcoming, non-judgemental environment.
Dr. Conyac started as a volunteer candy striper at a Chicago hospital when she was just 13 years old, working in the postpartum unit. She completed medical training at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, specializing in obstetrics and gynecology, with a special interest in the historical marks of internal medicine.
She completed her OB/GYN residency at AMITA Health Saint Francis Hospital in Chicago, where her outstanding work earned her the first Certificate of Obstetric Excellence by the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine. During her residency, Dr. Conyac also earned the Outstanding Achievement Award from the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons and was first to incorporate da Vinci® robotics into the resident training program.
In addition to her patient-centered care at Glow Obstetrics & Gynecology, Dr. Conyac serves as the director of women’s services at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Lake Pointe in Rowlett, Texas, and the OB/GYN hospitalist and emergency service team lead.
Dr. Conyac enjoys spending her free time with her rescue dogs, reading a good book, trying unique foods, riding horses, gardening, and painting.

I had a very disappointing experience at Glow OBGYN and will not be returning. We arrived early for our appointment and still ended up waiting exactly three hours to see Dr. Conyac. The front desk staff were generally unprofessional and lacked basic customer service skills, but our interaction with Shilpa was by far the worst. My husband and I asked for clarification on some of the forms because we are not medical professionals and, understandably, some of the medical terminology was difficult to understand. Instead of simply explaining the forms or answering our questions professionally, Shilpa responded in a very condescending manner, asking if she needed to “read the paper to us.” She made faces and treated us as though we were stupid for asking for clarification. That was extremely disrespectful and unnecessary. I was also extremely concerned by the way urine samples were being handled. When I went to place my urine sample in the designated box, I saw three other urine containers from other patients sitting there without lids, and the area smelled terrible. I have been to many gynecologists and medical offices, and I have never encountered anything like this. Seeing other patients’ urine samples sitting openly in an area accessible to patients was frankly disgusting and raised serious concerns for me about sanitation and privacy. After such a poor experience, we let the staff know that we would not be returning. However, we were told that if we left before seeing the doctor, we would be charged a no-show fee. This was extremely frustrating because we had arrived early, completed all of the required paperwork, had the ultrasound, and had already been waiting for 2hrs at that point. We were not a no-show we were physically present for our appointment and had completed the required steps. Despite all of this, we were left waiting for approximately another hour in a small examination room before Dr. Conyac finally came in. When she did, our interaction lasted only about three minutes. The ultrasound itself was also extremely quick. Overall, I left feeling completely dismissed and uncomfortable. The excessive wait time, unprofessional treatment from the front desk, concerning handling of urine samples, and extremely rushed appointment made this one of the worst experiences I’ve had at an OB/GYN. I will be looking for another practice that treats patients with respect, communicates professionally, maintains appropriate sanitation standards, and actually takes the time to provide quality care. I wouldn’t recommend Glow OBGYN to anyone based on my experience.

Professional and caring when it comes to my health questions

This was my first appointment with Dr. Conyac and it was an all around wonderful experience. Dr. Conyac took the time to listen to and answer all of my questions and concerns and even wrote down all of my concerns. I felt she genuinely cared, and I left feeling so confident in the care I’ll be receiving from her and her staff. The staff were amazing too! Everyone was so kind and welcoming.

She’s very knowledgeable and cares about your well being. I was looking for a gynecologist because I recently moved to Texas. I’m so glad I found Dr. Conyac, she will be my new doctor.
This was my first appointment with Dr. Conyac and the whole experience was great! The gals at the front desk were nice and explained what all I needed to complete. Dr. Conyac was really nice and eased my concerns. The only thing that wasn't spectacular was the waiting. But even at that, I got checked out and talked with the doctor and she made me feel like I was a priority. So I am very grateful for that.

Dr. Conyac and her staff are really passionate about their work. I had an emergency, they took the time to understand where I was coming from and the concerns that I had, and managed to squeeze me in for a same day appointment. It gave me so much relief and peace, knowing that I have a doctor that cares.

Due to an emergency the doctor was delayed an hour. I totally understand the situation but I could have been told she would be delayed sooner than 10 minutes before she walked in.
