I am 72 years old and have been seeing dermatologists regularly since my early 30’s. I saw Dr. Durchhalter for the first time today and could not have been more impressed with her patient care and the amount of time she spent witShow moreh me. She took close to 15 minutes on my body scan to check for cancer. No Dermatologist ever spent more than two minutes on me in the past, as if they had a train to catch. Because I have a lot of moles, I always left feeling, “Did he see everything?” Not this time. She checked me from in between my toes to my scalp, and didn’t miss anything, all along the way explaining to me all about my moles and brown spots. She is beyond generous in all aspects of her care and concern for her patient’s well being. I commented to her how much she impressed me and her humble explanation was, “I treat my patients the way I would like to be treated by a doctor”. It definitely shows! Dr. Durchhalter knows her stuff and has a bright and promising future ahead of her. I am happy to be a new client in her practice. I wish her all the success in the world.
Had a rash on my ear that got infected after my dermatologist cut off a piece to check to see if it is cancerous. It wasn't but left me with a hole in my ear that was so sensitive to the touch. Went to Dr. Durchhalter for the firShow morest time and seems to be getting better with a new cream she gave me. So far I think it is getting better. She listens and not rush you with any questions you may have which I sincerely think is important when seeing any dr you have
Theresa Durchhalter, DO, is a board-certified dermatologist serving patients at Allure Dermatology in Hicksville, New York. In 2016, Dr. Durchhalter obtained her medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia, where she graduated as a member of the Sigma Sigma Phi honors fraternity. Upon completion, she returned to New York to complete her dermatology residency at St. John’s Episcopal, where she was appointed chief resident.
