Thomas Powell, MD, is a physician who specializes in orthopedic surgery. He diagnoses and treats patients at Powell Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. He is also affiliated with Brookwood Baptist Health, serving the Birmingham metro area and surrounding cities. A native of Mobile, Alabama, Dr. Powell was a four-year football letterman at Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, where he was first-team All-American his senior year. He enjoys outdoor activities, spending time with his family, and participating in music and mission opportunities through his church.

First visit and I am in love. The entire office was very detail oriented. The x-ray tech made sure that every angle of my knees were taken for positive results. Dr Powell explained the different injections available and the side effects. I look forward to my future visits.

DR. Powell did my hip replacement t and it was so perfect. I was back to work in 4 weeks and I am doing well. Yesterday I had to return to Dr. Powell for shoulder pain. I got xrays and a cortisone shot. Again very happy with my visit. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
