Dr. Schoonover and his staff were friendly and professional. My waiting time was minimal and everyone, including the registration clerk, nurse, EMG tech, and Dr. Schoonover did a wonderful job explaining the test process and what Show moreto expect. I hope you never need a neurologist, but if you do, I highly recommend this practice.
Always easy to talk to. Listens to what you have to say and spends whatever time you need. I get Botox in my neck every 3 months for spasmodic torticollis and is not the most pleasant experience. Dr. Schoonover is very caring and Show morepersonable. You couldn’t ask for a better doctor.
Timothy Schoonover, DO, dFACN, is a board-certified neurologist at the Dayton Center for Neurological Disorders (DCND), which helps staff offices in Centerville, Beavercreek, Springfield, Eaton, Wilmington, Hillsboro, and Vandalia, Ohio.
Dr. Schoonover joined the DCND in 1996. As a senior partner and the vice president of clinical quality, he oversees many of the practice’s operations. He primarily sees patients out of the Centerville office.
Dr. Schoonover brings more than 20 years of experience to the practice. He went to school at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, earning his Bachelor of Arts in biology and biochemistry and his Master of Arts in biology.
After graduation, Dr. Schoonover enrolled at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, earning his Doctor of Osteopathy. He completed residency training at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
Dr. Schoonover has a special interest in treating headaches, and using botulinum toxin for the treatment of chronic migraines and movement disorders. He also helped to develop and implement the stroke program that Kettering Health Network hospitals currently use.
Dr. Schoonover enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience with others. He teaches students through the Grandview Medical Center Neurology Residency Program and loves working one-on-one with up-and-coming neurology professionals.
Dr. Schoonover is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Osteopathic Association. He is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry and is a distinguished fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Neurologists and Psychiatrists.
Outside the office, Dr. Schoonover loves hanging out with family. He has a wife and two daughters. He is an avid golfer and an active member of his church. He welcomes anyone suffering from migraines or other neurological issues to Dayton Center for Neurological Disorders today.

Professional and personable! Dr. Schoonover has been doing my botox injections for years for my migraines. He always asks if they are continuing to work or if we need to adjust. I appreciate him checking on my progress and adjusting if needed!
Dr. Schoonover is the best doctor in the Dayton area. He is so kind and cheerful, which helps when you have to have shots in the back of your neck.
He was super nice, caring and so was his resident. He let me know when he was injecting me with blockers in my head. They made it go better than I thought. So I was totally nervous when I arrived and changed to calm when they came to my room.

Very knowledgeable ,and very professional he was willing to do whatever my mama wanted Botox or the surgery and we went with the Botox to start and If this didn’t work then surgeon referral , very happy with DCND , Thank you so much !!!!
