The purpose of my visit was to ask and begin therapy in order to be able to deal with my anxiety and depression in helping a beloved relative who is going throw a mental crisis. I found Dr. Mekles very easy to talk to, a good lisShow moretener, and knowledgable in regards to medication and its side effects. A peaceful office with carrying, and attending stuff. I have been a patient of Dr Mekles for a year. He met with me when I needed his support until I stabilized enough to receive TMS and Spravato the last few weeks. And now talk to a therapist. It was intense and I came to his practice with severe issues. It was so painful to tease out what was at the root. Dr Mekles met me where I am at. He is a hard working professional and advocate for the mental health for his patients. A good guy. He worked very hard to figure me out. I received an accurate, complex diagnosis. It explains so much of who I am. The strengths and weaknesses. It was so painful to get to this point and still is to a degree. I believe I have landed in a safe place to pick myself up again. He had faith in me and I was able to rally even when it seemed insurmountable. I am my healthiest I’ve been in my adult life. I am much more of a partner to my husband. We adore each other. In my opinion, in a short amount of time, he understands a lot about us by now. And we are grateful today because we adore each other. We are good people. As an adult, with my history I am not confident at all it would have turned out this positive. This is the harsh truth. And my husband agrees. I have a lovely life to enjoy right now that my husband and I worked hard to have.

Dr Mekles is an understanding doctor. He listens well, considers alternatives in helping you, and if you have an issue his office schedules you right away. I'm very comfortable with Dr Mekles. Highly recommend him!
Dr Meckles is extremely smart and professional. Anytime I find myself in a “pinch “ he is incredibly FAST to respond and get me medication if that is what is appropriate. He also is good at providing positive feedback as needed.

I have had to rely on a psychiatrist the past 30 years. For me, it has been difficult to find the right psychiatrist. I found Dr. Mekles by chance. I am being sincere that he saved my life because I didn’t realize that what I was on was very bad. It has been rough but I see how I can have new goals. I would highly recommend NYC Psychiatrist Associates to see if it is a good fit for you. I hope to work with him for a long time.
Responsibly helping me detox at home from a controlled substance. It’s very uncomfortable and he is always available to help me manage the withdrawal so it can be possible. Meanwhile he actually is treating me for depression and anxiety with safe medication. He actually cares.
Always available .. responds immediately to my text if I have concerns . Always patient and was able to wean me from a bad medication given by a former doctor.. without any detox . Then worked with me to get the right medication.. Never disregards my concerns .

I’ve been in Dr Mekles practice for about 3 months. I feel much better and able to enjoy myself and be there for my family and friends. It seems he is open to getting to know me before providing a conclusive diagnosis which has not been my experience with prior psychiatrists. I feel in good hands.

Dr. M is a fantastic doctor and by far the most talented practitioner I’ve seen in the 10+ years I’ve sought help. Things are finally stable and on an upward trajectory. Everyone has their own personal style and Dr. M is not afraid to challenge you with tough questions and not let you bs around them, and those are opportunities for growth if you take them.
Dr Mekles puts thought into each appointment it seems from my many years of experience with psychiatrists. I am lucky that that the medicine he prescribed have helped immensely. The ability to do telehealth has helped me be able to meet frequently until I’ve stabilized.

I started treatment 9 weeks ago. I was pretty raw in terms of not being on the right medication. I steadily improved with the Dr Mekles care. It was bumpy and he met with me frequently. I improved so much and can’t be more grateful to feel better. I highly recommend.
