Tyler Chipman, PMHNP

I partner with clients in building resilience, uncovering the joy and meaning in life, identifying and achieveing goals, and improving relationships with self and others. I believe that authenticity, warmth, and compassion are the foundation of healthy, healing relationships. My care provision is intentional, trauma informed, and patient centered. I operate from the premise that clients are the experts in their own lives and that recovery is possible for everyone. I have an expert knowledge of evidence based psychopharmacology and take a conservative approach to prescribing. I provide supportive psychotherapy within a bio-psycho-social and holistic framework and believe that lifestyle and community are primary sources of wellness. I believe in a collaborative approach to care provision, and partner with clients in finding creative and individually focused solutions that are realistic and sustainable. In addition to clinical practice I teach and supervise doctoral students at OHSU.
