Dr Jamal was very informative and helpful however for a new patient visit it seemed a bit rushed to provide needed recommendations for my issues. For instance wrt weight loss, while I’m aware I need a calorie deficit, when asked Show moreabout my exercise I started to describe my walking and other exercise but was cut off at walking and told that it does no good and I should do HIIT or running. I’ve had two knee surgeries which she didn’t ask about so running isn’t about option and interval training but we never touched on the others once I said walking. I also treadmill walk at a 18% incline and do 15 min miles outdoors for an hour (4 miles) so I find it hard to believe all walking is bad. While I was discouraged for a day, she did get me started to decrease my A1C but I think a Dr should fully listen before discounting any exercise one is able to fit into a busy schedule.
I had a very weird experience today with one of the ladies at the checkout counter. In simple terms she was blunt in her responses didn’t seem to care about your questions. A simple request like is their water so I can eat my medsShow more was a big deal and a instant no followed by okay let me see. A simple question of breakdown of a heavy bill of 434 seemed like it was annoying her. Didn’t get her name but this was on 3/1 at the Katy Methodist office. Dr Qureshi was pleasant and welcoming and great as usual. If it was not for Dr Qureshi I would not at all drive from sugar land to endocrine center for my dr visits. Patients need to be treated as customers. This is not a charity organization. I just paid 434 dollars for an office visit. I at least expect some politeness from the staff.

Dr. Jamal is wonderful. She listens and tries to address the cause of every symptom. When the first thing doesn't work, she tries something else. I've been a bit of a conundrum but she hasn't given up on me yet! Her staff is also wonderful - kind and helpful. The only reason I'm subtracting one star is because there's always about a half hour wait.

Dr. Jamal seemed very thorough. However, she seemed impatient with my reluctance to take statins for cholesterol control. My total cholesterol is in the normal healthy range (not at all elevated) and my cardiologist did not recommend them for me after a very good (almost zero) “Calcium Score” test done along with a full stress test and cardiac imaging conducted in August 2023. I am reluctant to take additional prescription drugs unless I can understand the specific medical necessity for them.
Dr. Jamal is always so thorough with her visits with me. She us an excellent physician and has managed my diabetes better than anyone else. I have full trust in her knowledge. She takes a proactive approach and includes me in decisions regarding my healthcare plan. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing an endocrinologist. She's the best!
Dr. Qureshi is great. Takes his time with you and doesn’t rush. The lab person I had didn’t seem to happy…she looked at the list of people she had to draw labs for and said “I guess I’m not going to get a lunch…”. That is my only complaint. Dr Qureshi himself and staff are great.
