Umara Jamal, MD, is a board-certified physician with the team of endocrinology, diabetes, and thyroid specialists at The Endocrine Center. Dr. Jamal sees patients at the practice’s Main Campus and Greater Heights locations in Houston, Texas. She is board certified in internal medicine and board-eligible in endocrinology.
A Texas native, Dr. Jamal attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas, for her undergraduate studies. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and completed her medical degree at Saba University School of Medicine in the Caribbean. Dr. Jamal finished her internal medicine residency at Chabert Medical Center in Houma, Louisiana, and completed her endocrinology fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

My experience was quick and efficient which I appreciated. It would have been nice for The lady at the end to have gotten off her personal phone call or had them wait until she tended to the clients.

Very good experience. Dr. Jamal takes the time to explain everything about your condition and the steps needed to achieve positive results towards getting better. She always sends you home with clear understandable instructions about medication dosing and possible issues that could arise. Office staff is always cheerful and personable. 100% recommend this clinic!

Dr. Jamal is wonderful. She listens and tries to address the cause of every symptom. When the first thing doesn't work, she tries something else. I've been a bit of a conundrum but she hasn't given up on me yet! Her staff is also wonderful - kind and helpful. The only reason I'm subtracting one star is because there's always about a half hour wait.
