To most of us eye surgery is like rocket science to Dr. Feiz it's just a walk in the park. I'm not qualified to critique the fineries of Opthalmology, all I know is that my vision in both eyes was declining and at the limit of whaShow moret prescription glasses could improve. That's when Dr. Feiz opted for surgery on both of my eyes... One at a time, of course. So here I am post surgery, both eyes completed, totally amazed and in awe of my new visual world. No glasses needed to watch television, clarity and colors in superb detail, driving on the same roads as before but seeing trees, landscape, and skies like I haven't seen in 30 years... It's a whole new adventure and an extra pleasure driving. Driving at night is even more profound... It's hard to believe the difference... It's Ike night and day... Pardon the pun. With hindsight being 20/20, I don't know how I ever managed driving at night and living through it... I should have been arrested! LOL Yes, Thank you very much for Dr. Feiz's opthalmological skills, he's the best there is.
I wish I could provide more stars! I was referred to Eye Care of the East Bay and Dr. Feiz by John Muir Urgent Care in Orinda, to check for possible shingles in my right eye area. An urgent appointment was needed, and I got one Show morethe following day at 8:45 AM. I also appreciated having access to necessary paperwork from Eye Care of the East Bay's website so I could complete it before my appointment. The Eye Care of the East Bay Office is spacious and welcoming. Lots of parking, and easy to find the building. Wonderful and understanding staff, and I say that as a person who was (understandably) nervous at the appointment. All equipment ultra modern. Just a fantastic experience and a through eye exam and numerous tests without one bit of discomfort or pain. They also detected higher than normal eye pressure in both eyes, which was never detected by previous optometrists or ophthalmologists, and recommended a follow-up care plan. My eyesight is so important; so thankful this was caught! Highly recommend Dr. Feiz and staff at Eye Care of the East Bay.

With over 21 years of experience, Dr. Feiz has served the Walnut Creek, California area both academically as well as in private practice. He continually works to bring new techniques and treatment options to his patients who live in and around the Walnut Creek area.
Dr. Feiz graduated from Washington University School of Medicine with his medical degree and then moved to St. John's Mercy Medical Center where he completed his internship. He performed two residencies in ophthalmology. He completed one residency at Boston University Medical Center and finished another at the University of California Davis campus, where he earned a fellowship in cornea and laser refractive surgery. After teaching for almost a decade, Dr. Feiz moved into private practice where he continues to serve the public academically and in private practice.

I experienced longer than usual wait time in the office. My next appoint spans two separate days. Up to now, my bi-annual regular appointment took only one day. There was a problem making payment on the website.
Aside from the excess time used to see, which was understandable, everyone was extremely courteous.

Until meeting Dr Feiz, I never knew how important it was, to find a doctor who had the time to explain all the details of my present condition and the remedies provided for the cataract procedure I'm about to get in 2 weeks. Doctor Feiz took the time to address all those unsettling thoughts that I needed to explore, so that I could comfortably accept the limitations to all the options available. What more could a person ask for when faced with such serious choices when dealing with one's eyesight? That is why I'm sharing with you how fortunate I am at this point.
