I'm Dr. Valerie Lyon, and it's a pleasure to welcome you to Lyon Primary Care, in Midtown, New York, NY.
The doctor-patient relationship is ideally a long-term collaboration. You and I work together to help keep you healthy, and if difficulties should arise, we want you to know you can look to us for supportive, attentive and skilled medical care.
Though most of my patients are young women, often new to New York, I also see many others, both male and female, whom I’ve worked with since I started in private practice more than two decades ago.
I perform many of the same clinical services an internist does, but as a family practitioner, much of my work also involves routine office gynecology, including Pap smears, oral contraceptives and diagnosis of sexually transmitted diseases.
As a clinical instructor at NYU Langone Medical Center, I refer my patients to many of the most widely respected in-network specialists in the city. Whether it's here in our office or with a specialist we refer you to, we hope you'll feel that someone is sensitive to your concerns, and giving you the care you look for in a doctor.
