Victoria Onunekwu, PMHNP

My name is Dr. Victoria Onunekwu, DNP, FNP-BC, MPH, PMHNP-BC, BSN. I have over 15 years of experience as a nurse and seven years as a nurse practitioner. I have impacted every aspect of my scope of practice both as a nurse and as a nurse practitioner. My greatest passion lies very much with the psychiatric patients. Because as the saying goes "when things fall apart the center could no more hold". A patient with mental problem could literally mean to have fallen apart and the center could no more hold. As a passionate and empathetic psychiatric nurse practitioner, with long time experience in psychiatry, it is my utmost desire to help you achieve your greatest potential mentally. I am very patient with my clients, I have a great rapport with my patients and I have a good listening ear. I do a thorough mental health evaluation, diagnose, and prescribe medications when necessary. I also use psychotherapy a lot. I follow up with my patients to see that they achieve their set goals.
