Wasim Haidari, MD

Dr. Wasim Haidari is a compassionate Board-Certified Dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon who makes it a priority to provide the highest quality of care for each one of his patients. Dr. Haidari completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona where he received a Bachelor of Science in molecular biology and Bachelor of Arts in Russian language. He received his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Georgetown University in Washington D.C. He completed his dermatology residency at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in North Carolina where he gained exceptional training having trained with leaders in the specialty. 

After becoming a board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Haidari further specialized in Mohs micrographic surgery and completed a fellowship year in Birmingham / Montgomery, Alabama where he treated a high volume of skin cancers. Here, he received excellent training in skin cancer pathology and complex reconstructive surgery at one of the busiest surgical dermatology practices in the country. 

Dr. Haidari’s dedication to advancing the field of dermatology is exemplified by his research. To date, he has published over 30 peer-reviewed research articles, several book chapters, and has presented at regional and national conferences. His research has been published in top journals such as Journal of American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD), Dermatologic Surgery, and British Journal of Dermatology. He has also presented his research at conferences such as American Academy of Dermatology and National Institute of Health (NIH).

During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching and playing sports, traveling, and trying out new cuisine. Dr. Haidari is looking forward to serving the patients of Chesapeake/Norfolk/Virginia beach communities.
