I had my initial appointment with Dr. Ku, and I was really impressed with this first encounter. He was gracious with his time and explained in detail what I should expect from him. Personally, I appreciate being included in the diShow morescussion of my dental care rather than being subject to a dictatorial approach. Dr. Ku gave me every opportunity to discuss my dental history before and after my exam. His recommendations going forward were balanced with consideration for my concerns. I don't know how this first visit could have been managed any better. In addition to Dr. Ku, I was equally impressed by Kortni, who did the X-rays, cleaning, and initial evaluation. Plus I need to mention Tricia, who sorted thru the insurance issues as well as my initial scheduling. They have quite a nice team at their facility. It is both professional and warm.
The whole experience was comforting to reassuring. I broke 2 teeth & was not in the best frame of mind. Tracie:front desk, was very pleasant, professional & accommodating. Brought the wrong insurance card but she took it in strideShow more. Courtney: dental hygienist/tech was very bubbly. Her friendly chatter kept my mind off my situation. By the time Dr Ku came I was relaxed thanks to Courtney. (I am a nervous wreck every time I go to the dentist bcuz of a prior bad experience). Dr Ku was very professional, & reassuring. Patiently he explained all my options so much so that I clearly understand what I am facing. No pressure, no sales talk. I like that!! Excellent experience: from phone to consult!

Wayne Ku, DDS, is an experienced dentist and happy to serve the people of Plano, North Dallas, and the North Texas area at Plano Dental Excellence. Dr. Ku takes pride in crafting beautiful smiles for his patients. He strives to provide the best possible dental care in a relaxed, comfortable environment.
Dr. Ku graduated from dental school at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. He also was previously a visiting faculty member at Spear Education in Scottsdale, Arizona, which provides continuing education services for dentists.
In addition to teaching continuing education classes to his colleagues, Dr. Ku is dedicated to his own continuing education and professional growth. He belongs to the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation.
Dr. Ku is a longtime Dallas resident. He and his wife have been married for more than 30 years and have three daughters. When not practicing dentistry, he enjoys reading, cooking, spending time with his family, and staying active.

Had small and old filling replaced. Dr. Ku ZAPPRD me with a laser!!! Wow. No shot. No pain. No wonder that he has cared for my mouth for more than 30 years.
As always Dr. Ku takes care of my teeth. After years of spending money on my kids’ braces and seeing their beautiful smiles, I decided it was time for me to perfect my smile. It’s been 6 weeks and the improvement I am seeing with the Invisalign is great. Thanks again Dr. Ku. Can’t wait to see the finished product.
Dr. KU makes you feel relaxed during a procedure and let's you know exactly what to expect as he works. It makes for a much better experience
Came here yesterday for the first time because I saw very good reviews on Google and it turned out that this clinic really deserves the highest score.. the doctor was very polite and explained in great detail before working on my tooth and all the staff were very kind and professional.. looks like it won't be my last visit and I’ll get my husband and friends to join me to go to this Clinic..

My experience at Plano Dental Excellence was amazing!! I have a history of having a fear of dentists but the staff here made me feel very comfortable!! From making an appointment with Tricia who is a sweetheart to my cleaning with Kortni was amazing and pain free. She checked in with me often to make sure that I was comfortable. Dr. Ku came in and introduced himself before my cleaning and told me how my visit would proceed. He explained every thing that he was going to do along the way and said I was a trooper afterwards. I’m so blessed to have found Dr. Ku and his wonderful team!!
