I suffer from chronic migraines and back pain stemming from a car accident 19 years ago. I spent almost 15 years visiting the ER 4-5 a week, every week until I met Dr. Durrett. People think I’m exaggerating when I say he saved my Show morelife but he literally saved my life! I had seen 9 other Dr.s over the years and not only had they given up on me, but so had I. I heard “We’re sorry but you’re going to have to learn to live in pain” so many times that I began to believe it. And the hospital just threw more and more medicine in my IV that it was a matter of time before they caused me to OD. Dr. Durrett refused to give up on me and said “We WILL find a way to make your life better”. And he did! I went from 4-5 ER trips a week to 1-2 a month to now 1 every 2-3 years. I don’t know what I would do without him! 5 stars is not enough and you couldn’t ask for a better Dr. or a better man to have in your corner!
Let me first say that I have been a patient of Dr. Durrett for many years now, first at the location across from the hospital and now in his new location in Aiken. I was referred to him by Dr. Massie @ CMI when it was determined Show morethat my physical condition/injuries were beyond the scope of CMI. Dr. Durrett is genuinely concerned about the pain of every patient and is willing to try different types of treatments when one does not work or one that previously alleviated your pain no longer is doing a sufficient job. He is above professional in demeanor but at the same time makes you feel like you are his only patient. Additionally his staff is warm and friendly and quite proficient as well. He is a phenomenal physician and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others.
William E. Durrett, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain management physician offering cutting-edge regenerative medicine pain management services. He is the owner of Novo Wellness in Aiken and Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
Dr. Durrett attended Valdosta State University and received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Georgia. He went on to earn his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine. Dr. Durrett underwent his general surgery internship at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia, and completed his anesthesiology and pain management residencies at the Medical College of Georgia.
For over a decade, Dr. Durrett has served as a guest speaker for seminars across the country. He is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and attends several meetings and conferences to stay current with the most innovative technology in interventional pain management. His goal is to offer the latest advancements in his field to his patients.
