They are a young progressive team, definitely capable of handling a normal variety of general patient issues or yearly visits, not chronic or serious issues that requires patient coordination of multiple complications or visits, but I could be wrong.
This practice is very well run and efficient. There’s always someone that answers the phone and someone besides a receptionist to answer your questions and address your concerns. My family and I have been going to see Dr RowlanShow mored for years. He is very understanding, caring and knowledgeable. He takes the time to answer all my questions and concerns. All the staff is very friendly, especially Sue who is the blood technician and always there to draw blood when needed. I would definitely recommend this office.
William Rowland, MD, is a dedicated primary care and concierge physician practicing at Boca General & Family Medicine in Boca Raton, Florida. He has over 30 years of experience and is committed to providing exceptional, personalized care to his patients.
Born in Miami and raised in Melbourne Beach, Florida, Dr. Rowland earned a degree in Statistics from the University of Florida in 1986. He continued his education at the University of Florida College of Medicine before completing his family medicine residency in Tallahassee, Florida, in 1993. Furthering his expertise, he pursued a fellowship in sports medicine at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, which he completed in 1994.
Dr. Rowland began his medical practice in Fort Lauderdale before relocating to Boca Raton in 1998. In 2000, he took over Boca General and Family Medicine, where he continues to provide comprehensive primary care services. In addition to his expertise in sports medicine, he has advanced training in men’s and women’s hormone therapy, anti-aging treatments, and office-based dermatology procedures.
As a former member of the Florida Marlins medical staff, Dr. Rowland was honored with a World Series ring from the team’s 1997 championship victory.
Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Rowland is an avid sports enthusiast who enjoys tennis, pickleball, golf, and skin diving. He resides in Boca Raton with his wife, four children, and three grandchildren—though he eagerly looks forward to welcoming more!

I am so grateful to be under Dr. Rowland's care. He is incredibly knowledgeable and caring. As a retired actuary (math nerd), I love that he is super organized and keeps track of all records and visits on his laptop. He never seems to be in a hurry. The office staff is friendly and efficient With very short wait time. Dr Rowland has been my primary for many years, and has always been very generous with his valuable time on my visits. He is an excellent Dr and a man of integrity.
Dr. Rowland listens well and gives good practical advice. I usually come in with a detailed written list of my issues and questions, and he considers them carefully. His staff (e.g., nurses, phlebotomist, reception desk, etc.) is also very good, and has become especially good recently (2026). The portal for getting information like test results and for sending messages to the providers is also very good.
