Ms. Walker is a nationally certified Physician Assistant who brings with her a strong academic background, diverse clinical training, and a deep commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to patients with complex rheumatic diseases. She works in close collaboration with Dr. Tara Rizvi to provide comprehensive management of autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis, and other connective tissue diseases.
Originally from Oregon, Wisconsin, Ms. Walker earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Missouri State University, where she graduated with distinction and developed a solid foundation in the biomedical sciences. She then went on to complete her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC)—a program consistently ranked among the top in the nation. During her clinical rotations, she demonstrated exceptional diligence, empathy, and a strong aptitude for internal medicine and rheumatology, which ultimately led her to pursue a focused career in this specialty.
Since completing her graduate training in 2022, Ms. Walker has been working alongside Dr. Rizvi, gaining extensive hands-on experience in the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of rheumatologic disorders. She is known for her attentive listening, thorough patient evaluations, and collaborative approach to care. Patients consistently appreciate her ability to communicate complex medical information with clarity and compassion.
Ms. Walker is dedicated to staying current with medical advancements and continuously refining her clinical skills. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and strong work ethic make her an invaluable addition to our practice.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time outdoors, especially biking through Houston’s many parks and trails. She also has a passion for exploring the city’s vibrant culinary scene, always on the lookout for new and diverse flavors.

Great experience. She really listened to what I had to say.
Competency is NOT the problem with this practice. I have NEVER had an appointment that didn’t take a minimum of 90 min to 2 hours from arrival to finish. The time is spent ENTIRELY either in the waiting room or in the patient room. They do not schedule their appointments with appropriate time which means there is always a backlog. I’ve never needed more than 10-15 minutes max and I realize that is not the case for all patients, but that should be pre-determined when the appt is scheduled. If this were a one time problem I’d chalk it to an exception, but I’ve had 6 or more appts (over the last 2.5 years) and it’s ALWAYS the same. Even after they moved to a bigger (and beautiful) office, with closer parking, this still happened. The staff is VERY friendly and no complaints with the treatment. One of the first questions they always ask is whether I’m having anxiety and every time my response is “not until I arrived here and had to wait for and hour and half”. It’s really TOO BAD.
