Topher began his career practicing In-Patient Psychiatry at Quail Run Behavioral health where he quickly became good friends with his mentor and colleague Dr. Michael Vines. Topher provided psychiatric services to Canyon State Academy, a boys ranch for at risk youths, here in the Valley for over five years.

Donnie served 25 years in the United States Air Force where he completed the Interservice Physician Assistant Program (IPAP) in 2008.He moved to Arizona in June 2022 and is an active member of the Arizona State Association of Physician Assistants, the Association of PA’s in Psychiatry, and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
