He has published over 100 articles, book chapters, and scientific presentations. He is the editor of the book “Different Views of Anxiety Disorders” that has been downloaded about 100.000 times. He has trained many students, residents and specialists. Dr. Selek has also brought novel treatments to Houston for mood disorders. His extensive educational experience in mental health broadens his approach to diagnosis and treatment of complex issues. He still serves on editorial boards of scholarly journals.

I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist. I have been Board Certified in American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in three separate boards, including Forensic Psychiatry. I completed my Psychiatry residency from University of Texas (Houston) and served as Chief Resident in the program. I have held several senior positions, including Chief of Psychiatry, Medical Director, and Chairman of Psychiatry, at various leading institutions. I have also published numerous articles, journals, books, and am currently active in many community awareness programs. Currently, I am the Founder/Executive Medical Director of Psychiatric Solutions, PC, rendering care in the Sugar Land, Katy, Sealy, and Lake Jackson areas.
