“I heard about optimum men's clinic on Facebook and read a couple good reviews. I then made an appointment for the reason that at my age I felt tired, no energy, and well I really needed to take care of myself and health. I wasn't disappointed when I came in. The staff made you feel at home and the atmosphere is very comforting. Dr. Flores is awesome and talked to me not just as a patient but as if he knew me. Totally recommend this place and you won't be disappointed.”

Richard Connell, Ph.D., has been in practice for 24 years. He specializes in evaluation and works with individuals. Richard believes an assessment can mean many things, depending on the purpose of the assessment. Our typical assessment battery consists of IQ testing, academic achievement testing, and an assessment of acute symptomatology (in other words, looking for symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other mental health difficulties).
Richard is passionate about diagnostic evaluations, particularly with adults, and with children who may be on the autism spectrum. He enjoys meeting new people every day, hearing about their struggles and life experiences, and guiding them toward a path of healing.
Outside of work, Richard is known to enjoy reading, woodworking, and international travel. As the founder of Oria, Richard’s goal is to find the right provider for every person we serve. We strive to meet people where they are, and help them reach their full potential.

I'm glad you've chosen Recovery 101 Counseling and look forward to meeting you soon. All our work together will be held in Telehealth and I'm excited to tell you Telehealth is as effective as "in-person" therapy for several reasons, and yet even more effective for others! I specialize in Memory Reconsolidation using Smooth Pursuit Eye Movements which is very effective in relieving the emotions and sensations that can overwhelm and can be very brief in duration. Eye Movement therapy is changing the way the brain sees the past and you can learn more here: https://youtu.be/JxFPwKSUePk
Again, I'm glad you've made the decision to meet with me and I look forward to seeing you very soon.
