Recognizing the need for therapy takes courage. I enjoy working with patients who realize that there is a great need for self-exploration through all of life's moments. Honest, self-reflection is key to a healthy emotional, spiritual, mental and physical foundation. Maintaining a therapeutic relationship takes trust and dedication for both the patient and the therapist. I do not take for granted the privilege to participate in this journey with patients. I am committed to providing a safe and professional environment founded on trust, privacy and understanding.

I have been a licensed practitioner in Utah since 1997. After intensive studies and an internship at Sewickley Valley Hospital, near Pittsburgh, PA, I was awarded a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the School of Professional Psychology at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Upon licensure, I established a clinical practice in Tooele, Utah under the auspices of the National Health Service Corps. After completing a three year contract in Tooele, I opened an office and began practicing in Davis County. My experience includes conducting clinical trials of medication for FDA approval, working with local health care providers and Hill Air Force Base, and using technology to aid in treating mental health struggles. I am dedicated to a lifetime of learning and helping those who want personal growth and to meet their potential.
“John is phenomenal at helping with trauma, depression, anxiety and other conditions and at questioning what’s really going on. That said, I would advise seeing a specialist if you have ADHD or OCD unfortunately I didn’t know that I had both until far after our first appointment. He may have been able to catch it and act differently if he was able to read the medical documents that I sent over but he never made time to prepare for our sessions : /
That’s the Character limit but he’s mostly great!”
