Following his medical training, Dr. Lento was a medical officer for the U.S. Navy. Dr. Lento specializes in the non-surgical treatment of various musculoskeletal problems by identifying the cause of musculoskeletal pain or loss of function and determines whether the problem is mechanical, inflammatory, or degenerative. Together with a variety of non-surgical strategies, Dr. Lento addresses these problems, which enable patients to get back to enjoying life.

His specialty also incorporates the use of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (MSK US). MSK US is a non-invasive imaging test used to diagnose tendon, muscle, and ligament tears without the use of ionizing radiation or concern for claustrophobia that is associated with MRI. There are also no issues with metal such as pacemakers or other implantable devices. Dr. Lento uses this imaging technique when necessary to accurately and precisely guide injections directly into problematic areas.

Dr. Lento was formerly an advisor for the North American Spine Society providing the appropriate use of exercise to treat various spinal conditions.  His practice focus is on identifying biomechanical factors, which may be the root cause of a patient’s musculoskeletal problem.

In 2012, Dr. Lento served as a physician in the Olympic Clinic at the Salt Lake Winter Olympics. He has also covered multiple endurance racing events such as the Chicago, Houston, and Washington, DC marathons. He was Race Medical Director for the International Triathlon Union held at Nathan Benderson Park and currently serves the team physician for Lakewood Ranch, Parrish, and Booker High School athletes.

About Jason Ipo, PT
Hello, I'm Jason, a physical therapist with over 21 years of diverse experience in clinical practice, education, and administration in rehabilitation. Beginning in NYC, I honed my skills at leading academic and healthcare institutions. I'm among the top 1% of physical therapists, with a board exam score of over 98%. Throughout my career, I've worked with prestigious organizations like NYU's Langone Health and VNS Health, fostering continuous learning and growth. I've trained therapists in Vestibular therapy and managed innovative programs across 40 facilities. Settling in Sarasota, I established Florida's first walk-in multi-specialty rehab clinic, The Shoreline Clinic, dedicated to quality care and rejecting industry practices like upselling. Our mission is to ensure rapid patient recovery regardless of financial constraints, prioritizing treatment excellence. I devised our system called Singularity of Care, uniting specialties to diagnose, treat, and set goals as a cohesive system.

About Joel Verzosa, PT, DPT

Joel Verzosa, PT, DPT received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences located in St.   Augustine, Florida. After graduation, Joel began his career in outpatient orthopedics.

As a former Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA, Joel has extensive experience in exercise dosing and   prescription to fit all levels of training and has received training in manual therapy, joint mobilization, myofascial release, soft tissue   manipulation as well as joint manipulation to restore normal joint ranges of motion and functional range of motion. These techniques   include those specific to the spine in the improvement of function for the back.

An injury in Joel’s early career, where he was unable to walk for 6 weeks spending most of that time in a wheel chair, shaped his career   significantly. It provided an ability to empathize with both the physical, emotional and social aspects of pain and loss of function and he   incorporates this empathy into every facet of his care.

Joel has entrenched himself in training to become a Functional Movement Specialist as well as certified with the Titleist Performance   Institute to evaluate movement with golfers. He has also received training in pain science and incorporating high-level exercise   techniques into treatment to improve the function and well being of his patients.

 Philosophy

An injury and/or pain does not change the beauty of our human body’s capacity to withstand load/stress. It is through stress that our   bodies become resilient and able to manage the stresses of daily life. It is my belief that through a comprehensive and specific   treatment regimen we can improve pain threshold and restore function and quality of life. Whether it begins with gentle range of   motion, manual therapy, pain relieving modalities or complex movement patterns, it is my goal to restore the strong, resilient and   confident person I believe to be in every person.
