Dr. Stautberg is an active member of multiple organizations. Dr. Ihekweazu was born and raised in Houston, Texas. After a state-championship basketball career at Westbury Christian, Dr. Ihekweazu continued his athletic and academic pursuits at Cornell University, where he completed both undergraduate and medical school training. As a medical student, he was recognized for his mastery of anatomy with the Gustave J. Noback Memorial award for advanced study and teaching in the field of anatomy.


Following medical school, Dr. Ihekweazu returned home to Houston and completed an orthopedic surgery residency program at Baylor College of Medicine. Throughout his residency, he was exposed to care in a variety of settings including Ben Taub General Hospital, Texas Children’s Hospital, the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, the Shriners Hospital for Children, the Baylor-St. Luke’s Medical Center and Houston Methodist Hospital. In addition to these experiences, Dr. Ihekweazu completed a short-term AO Trauma Fellowship at the Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève in Geneva, Switzerland. 

After his residency training, he pursued a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement Surgery at the world-renowned Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. During his fellowship, Dr. Ihekweazu was further trained in a variety of advanced joint replacement techniques, including, anterior and posterior hip replacements, hip resurfacing, total and partial knee replacements, robotic-assisted surgery and revision joint replacement surgery.  

Dr. Ihekweazu is devoted to the local community and enjoys teaching, mentoring and volunteering throughout the Houston area.  He believes in being conservative with his treatment recommendations and only recommends surgery when less-invasive treatments have failed. Renowned sports medicine physician David Lintner, MD, brings his extensive experience to patients in Houston and Kingwood, Texas. Throughout his career, he has served as the Team Physician for several professional sports teams and lectured internationally to colleagues in his field.

In 1982, Dr. Lintner received his Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University College of Arts and Sciences in Ithaca, New York, where he was named Scholar-Athlete of the year in lacrosse. He went on to complete his medical degree at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York, followed by an internship in general surgery and residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Rochester.

As an expert in his field, Dr. Lintner specializes in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the knee, shoulder, and elbow. He also has expertise in treating injuries affecting throwers’ shoulders and elbows, including labral repair and “Tommy John” reconstructions. Dr. Lintner has authored over thirty scientific articles on the topics of ACL injuries, thrower’s injuries, and other sports medicine issues.

In 2005, Dr. Lintner was named Chief of Sports Medicine at The Methodist Hospital in Houston after holding a similar role at Baylor College of Medicine. He is also the founder and Director of the Sports Medicine Fellowship training program at The Houston Methodist Hospital.

Dr. Lintner’s skills as a sports medicine physician have led him into the arena of professional sports, where he served as the Head Team Physician for the Houston Dynamo Major League Soccer team, the Head Team Physician for Lee College, and the physician for the 2009 World Baseball Classic. Dr. Lintner continues to serve as the Head Team Physician for the Houston Astros, as well as a Team Physician for the Houston Texans.

Dr. Lintner is the past President of the Major League Baseball Team Physicians Association, and a member of the Baseball Commissioner’s Medical Advisory Committee. ABOUT DR. WAYNE O. ALANI, MD


Wayne O. Alani, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon serving patients from in and around Sugar Land and Houston, Texas. He is proud of the positive impact his practice has on the men and women who turn to him for joint health care. Dr. Alani’s educational journey began at Texas A&M in his hometown of Bryan, Texas. He went on to study medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center, where he earned his medical degree. He further refined his skill set through an internship and an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Kansas Medical School in Wichita, Kansas. Continuing education is one of Dr. Alani’s most deeply held priorities, which is why he pursued a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery at Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children in St. Louis, Missouri. He continues to search for educational opportunities that enable him to expand his medical services.

Dr. Alani is trained and experienced in a wide range of orthopedic conditions. He has particular clinical interest in sports medicine, minimally invasive joint replacement procedures, and total joint replacement. J. Michael Bennett, M.D., is a highly respected second generation orthopedic surgeon serving the greater Houston and Sugarland areas. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery and fellowship trained in sports medicine and arthroscopy. Dr. Bennett completed his sports medicine fellowship working as a team physician for multiple sports franchises including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Miami Hurricanes, Texas Southern University, and Florida International University. 

Dr. Bennett specializes in the treatment of shoulder, elbow, and knee disorders, ligament reconstruction, as well as cartilage repair and restoration.  He's had the honor of being selected by his peers as a Texas Super Doctor® for several years. His experience in treating a large number of cases in sports medicine helped earn him the distinguished Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine.

In addition to running a busy medical practice, Dr. Bennett serves as Chairman of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons Multimedia Education committee and is the regional medical director for AngelMD which is a crowdfunding software platform connecting medical startups with physicians and healthcare professionals.
