Dr. De La Torre earned his medical degree from the Ponce School of Medicine & Health Sciences in Puerto Rico before completing his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He founded New Tampa Interventional Pain & Sports Medicine to provide an interdisciplinary diagnostic and treatment facility that improves quality of life, decreases the use of long-term narcotics, and delivers interventional procedures that manage acute and chronic pain while reducing opioid dependency.

Been with Dr. De La Torre for many years. Couldn't ask for anyone better. His staff and himself are very polite. The office is very clean. There is no longer wait time. The Dr. takes his time with you. No rushing. Very thorough with any procedure he is going to do. One of the best.

I highly recommend Dr. Dr La Torre. He's personable. He listens. He makes reasonable deductions and is not inclined to give you more treatments than you need. I've had other doctors literally offered to do surgery when that was not necessary. This doctor is providing me with the lowest level of medication in hopes that it will bring me the benefits needed rather than over medicating me and over treating me just because I have good insurance.
