Dr. Petruccelli graduated from the George Washington University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science before receiving a certificate in Physiology at the Virginia Commonwealth University. He completed his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Barbados in 2006 before relocating to New York City to complete his Internship and Orthopaedic residency at New York Medical College-St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center/ Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in 2011.
In 2012, Dr. Petruccelli relocated to the west coast to complete his fellowship with the San Diego Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Fellowship. Dr. Petruccelli has received the Top Doctors Washingtonian Magazine Award in 2017, 2018 & 2019. Since 2016, he has been the Section Chief of the Department of Orthopaedics at Adventist Healthcare Shady Grove Medical Center.

Victor Wowk, MD, FAAOS, MPH, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who has been an active member of the local orthopaedic community for over twenty-five years. Dr. Kram graduated from Tufts University in Massachusetts in 1987 and the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York in 1991. He finished his residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York in 1996 before completing his fellowship in Knee Reconstruction and Sports Medicine at the Jewett Orthopaedic Clinic in Florida in 1997. During his fellowship, he acted as Assistant Team Doctor for the National Basketball Association’s Orlando Magic team, as well as the Assistant Team Doctor for the University of Central Florida’s football and basketball teams.
Dr. Kram has published multiple scientific articles and made presentations in general orthopaedics and the surgical treatment of arthritis. He also co-authored a textbook on the rehabilitation and treatment of fractures. Dr. Kram is an active member of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
With a special interest and passion for sports and sports medicine, Dr. Kram volunteers his time coaching children’s sports teams. He also earned a black belt in karate, competes in two softball leagues, and enjoys skiing, golf, and fitness activities. Dr. Kram shares a similar passion for music, and he is often found at concerts and other live music venues.

David M. He actively pursues the latest information and techniques in his field to bring his patients top-of-the-line, successful care.
Before joining the team at Greater Washington Orthopaedic Group in 2005, Dr. Smink graduated with honors from Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts. There, he was captain and MVP of the hockey team. He also earned the Manstein Family Award for excellence in pre-medical studies and athletics. He then attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland. There, he served as vice president of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Medical Society.
After finishing his education, Dr. Smink received specialty training in orthopaedic surgery as chief resident at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago. Then, he moved to Massachusetts for a sports medicine fellowship at Harvard University Massachusetts General Hospital. It was during this fellowship that he was a team physician for the New England Patriots, the Boston Bruins, and the athletic teams at Harvard University.
At Greater Washington Orthopaedic Group, Dr. Smink frequently treats athletic injuries for adults and youth. He often performs joint replacements and arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder.

Karly Lorbeer, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon practicing at Greater Washington Orthopaedic Group, PA, with locations in Silver Spring, Germantown, and Rockville, Maryland. Following residency, Dr. Lorbeer underwent fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Pittsburgh.
