About Pelin Hattatoglu, PhD

My theoretic approach is psychodynamic and is tailored to the unique needs of the patients I work with. This approach can be beneficial for patients who have a willingness to commit to long-term treatment, meet for a minimum of once a week sessions, a desire for self-exploration, and an openness to exploring the unconscious mind, in other words who can look inward for meanings in their behaviors and patterns and want to learn about these internal factors. My areas of focus include but are not limited to working with persons experiencing life transitions, issues of self-esteem, and learning how to cope with stress, trauma, grief, and loss. I have great respect and empathy for my clients and I conduct my work while being aware of the immense journey that all of us go through when we seek treatment. My job is to guide you on your journey to become your best self and help you reach your self-healing potential.

“Nicole creates a space where I feel truly safe opening up. What I admire most is her ability to guide without directing, allowing me to make discoveries on my own. We work through perfectionism, practice expecting mistakes with a growth mindset, and refocus on what I can control. Our sessions are not easy, but they continue to lead to meaningful, transformative growth. I’m deeply grateful for her steady presence in my life.”

About John Reynolds, PhD

My primary goal as a psychologist is to help the client clarify their presenting problem and work with them towards reducing their suffering and enhancing their quality of life. I work with both adults and adolescents that may be experiencing a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, anger, and post-traumatic stress. I provide psychological assessments for a variety of complaints, and ground my counseling work in scientific, evidence-based interventions such as Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Clinical Hypnosis, and various mindfulness-based interventions. I also believe it is essential to view each client as the unique and complex individual that they are, and do my best to tailor the therapy or assessment work to their particular personality and situation within the framework of evidence based treatment. My best work is accomplished when both the client and I feel we are working together as a team towards a common
