My name is Clayton. I'm a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida. As we work together we will establish trust as we explore your experience with mental health concerns. I practice from a place of collaboration and teamwork - relying on you as your own best expert! We will set therapy goals and begin our work. I practice utilizing a blend of ACT, CBT, and Solution Focused concepts to build emotional regulation, effective problem solving, and understanding the function behind emotions and thoughts. I'm also trained in EMDR therapy which can be helpful for reprocessing trauma and managing reactions that present from it.

She graduated from the University of Florida with a double major in Psychology and Criminology and went on to study at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida, with emphasis in Forensic Psychology. While enduring her graduate studies, she discovered a fascination with the inner workings of the brain and its overall effects. With this interest, Dr. Hylton continued to build the foundation of her training with specialization in neuropsychology, study of the brain and the nervous system’s influence on an individual’s cognition and behavior. She has broad experience in the field of psychology such as specialized psychotherapy for those suffering traumas and experience providing individual and group Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), administering psychological evaluations to children and/or parents for guardianship, as well as research. Dr. Hylton specializes in neuropsychological evaluation and testing.
